My first WOW moment

Ok, so it is 5.5 weeks since RNY and I am down 39 lbs., 16.5 inches.  I decided that it was time to start wearing my dress clothes instead of my comfy capri's for work before they don't fit anymore.  So, today I get up and put on a pair of nice jeans I haven't worn in over a year (sz. 30?) and a top that has been hanging in the closet about the same length of time.  The top is did not wear because, well it shrank LOL it just could not go over my belly therefore it was too short and showed my mid section UGH.

The jeans were so baggy from everywhere.  When I grabbed the sides my god, it was like Dumbos ears were attached.  The top however fit very nicely.  I figured I would probably need to go buy the next size down around labor day, but I sure did not expect it to be today.  We are headed out to a graduation party tomorrow evening, so I guess I will go to Kohls and see what I find that will fit somewhat decent.  If nothing at Kohls, I am sure that while I am out shopping for yet more items for cosmetology class for my daughter I will find something.  As for tops, I still have plenty of tops that shrank  that I can still wear, but I do have several that must go into a recycle bag.   I will be cleaning out my daughters closet and drawers with her tomorrow as well.  Just might have some stuff to bring to LB coffee this month.  Who know, maybe I will find something in the items you bring as well to the LB coffee.

Congratulations, Annette, but you may want to save your money and do your "shopping" at the coffee next Saturday--anything that fits today will be too big in a few weeks!

This is just the beginning.  It will just be getting better and better.  Keep those pair of jeans.  I have my size 30 stretch pair still and a shirt.  It good to put on once in a while and laugh.  By the way, those same style jeans are now a 16.  If it wasn't for the size of the clothes I would never guessed I had lost any weight, cuz I still have a fat head.  OK keep the comments down,  lol

I know that feels so good!  I really can't wait to have my surgery and start losing big time!  Thank you for posting.  Every time I read a post like this, I just get so excited.  I know I have made the right decision.  Thank you for being an inspiration.  All of you are!

Yay! Congrats Annette!  How Awesome is that feeling!! :)   I have too found that some of my old clothes are either fitting now or getting big :)  Im so excited for you..

Thank you all for your wonderful comments, and words of inspiration.  I am definetly going to do some shopping at LB coffee next week.  But for today I do need to find something (maybe still in my closet) so I can wear tonight that does not look like dumbo is hiding in my pants, I crapped my pants, or they are falling off and I look like a plumber   LOL

Diane, I hope you are feeling much better and can possibly make it to coffee next week.  If not, know that I am thinking about you daily.

I realize that most of the clothes that comes to the LB coffee are smaller sizes, but if anyone has a need for size 30 / 32 there will be some fairly new jeans than can be worn for work there as well.  Most of my tops are stained from cooking or eating   HA HA HA, probably will not be bringing any of them unless they are my dress tops that are way too big.  I'll be cleaning out my closet tomorrow.......
