good morning cali friends,

i've been in pain all morning but i couldn't stay away from my computer so i thought i'd say  hi ...
i'm going to rest and take my meds they gave me for my bladder.. the pain was so pain for a moment i thought i sould go to the hospital.. but i took my meds and i'm a bit better...
school starts for my daugther this monday oh what fun.. she likes school so i'm blessed.. she's got her clothes all picked out already.. we have to go to the store tonight and get her lunch stuff.. i hope i feel better by then or my bf is gonna have to do it for me.. hahaha ya right.. anyway i hope everyone has a great day..

As soon as my son gets here, we're off to finish going through my dad's things and the next week will be spent emptying it one truck load at a time..  Harley just put chili in the crock pot.....yum!  I'm going to get a run in before we come home and that's about it for today.

Jean....i'll be looking at those 12s next week.... and, congrats on your 2 year surgiversary AND on fitting into 6s... right on!! I fit into ONE size 6 when I was at my lowest, but I'm carrying 20# more than my lowest, so, 12s are doing fine for me.

Diane...does doug get SS even though he's still working? Wow... i can't wait for that to happen some day! What a great thing! yahoo!

Question for all: my cousin, who is a vegetarian, told me about this stuff, "nutritional yeast flakes" and I'm wondering if anyone has used it...

Well, I have the painters here today spraying the texture in the new rooms... they'll paint the colors tomorrow... fixtures go in mon/tues...and I should be good to "go" (HA HA) in the new bathroom on Wednesday...the first day back to work!

Yeah he does,  It has something to do with the fact he was born in 42.  I don't know, one of the guys at his work told him he should apply, the entire process I did online and I told them he was not retiring, then when we got the information yesterday, we also got a booklet that explain it.  It was in English. but I am sure there is some degree you need to understand it.  I am so glad, for him.  For a man who never worked until he met me, he has come a long way.  Now it's like pulling eye teeth to get him to take a day off. 

I can't wait to see the pictures of the bathroom, and maybe someday you can invite me over to use the toilet!  I love checking out plumbing...lol

That's really great, diane... how wonderful that doug can start collecting what he's contributed to for so many years! glad he'll get some back before the whole system goes bankrupt, LOL....

Girl, I am getting SO CLOSE to being able to pee in myown toilet... if anyone would come and put it all together tomorrow, it would be DONE except for the color (which has to wait until next week... the texture coat needs 48 hours to dry, and i will be working starting monday, so, Saturday it is!).

I am very bummed, though, because they are coming at 8am and not finishing for at least 6 hours, so no LB coffee for me... :(

but, i need to get this done for my own sanity!!

This is turning into a much more labor intensive project than I anticipated.  I have one large unit and and one very small one.  We've finished going through all the boxes in the large unit today and have it separated into keep/not keep piles.  Now we need to clean out the small one and move the keep pile into that unit.  My son took five loads to the trash today and we only made a dent in it.  

I did, however, finally find the 8mm film that only the employees who worked on the Apollo Missions were lucky enough to get.  It's titled "Apollo 11, A Man on the Moon".  I can't wait to have it transferred to a DVD.    This is a treasure for me.

I'm still searching for the black and white 8mm family movies.  They may be in the smaller unit.....I sure hope so anyway.

Well, I didn't win at State Line so Monday I guess I have to go to work, lol!  Went to a Doo Wop concert Friday night.  Lots of fun.  Got home this afternoon and just trying to get settled in.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Well, some how I managed to screw my neck up ...went to the chiropractor yesterday...it didn't help much. I still can't turn my head but about 2-3 inches to the right and half that to the left.Ouch!!
I am having a horrible ant/ aphid problem in my garden so I went to Wally World to buy something to get rid of them and when I got home in VERY small print it says will kill bees...do not us if plants are blooming!! Well, crap of course they are blooming and now I have to take the nasty stuff back. No bee killing here with out bees we have no pollination, with out pollination we have very ,very little food!! Got to take care of nature if we want her to take care of us... I am just going  to douse the plants with soapy water and pray for the best...it is getting close to the end of the harvest of my cucumbers...as long as I get enough more for my crunchy dill pickle I don't care after that....yummmy...dill pickles.

Nor Cal peeps, So wish I could have come off the mountain to hang out with all of you but I just couldn't swing it this month. And maybe not next either. We have to replace the Bladder in out well and possibly the pump too.Can you say inheritance??Or lack there of!!! I swear this house is eating every dime we both have or ever will have!! h well, they say you can't take it with you....but I sure as he;; would love to try!! LOL.
I am in the middle of making Grant, the handy kid next door, new curtains and a throw for his travel trailer ( the one we gave him last year in lue of $$$) He has fixed it up really well and I wanted to do something to show him how much I appreciate him and his good works. The throw is a fleece blanket with John Deere  Print and the curtains are John Deere Plaid but without a logo. I wasn't going to show it to him and just sneak into the trailer and put the stuff in there but when I pulled into the drive way he just happened to b over here and start to help unloading the stuff from the truck and saw the John Deere print and then I had to tell him and I am not the type that can come up with a big old fib on the spot. So he knows and is excited about it.

Hi Joy...sorry about the neck..ugh.  I have the same problem when I don't pay attention to how I'm looking thru my glasses. I get lazy and tilt my head up to look thru the bottom section...everything is magnified and I don't have to focus so hard LOL

Anyway, (hopefully Barb won't mind me talking out of school!)...but come up in October!!  We've planned a trip to Apple Hill for our luncheon...at least that is the plan as of today's luncheon ;-)  Would be fantastic to finally meet you in person!

Hope you get to feeling better soon.  You are a real sweetheart thinking of Grant.  He does sound like a wonderful teenager...and they don't get enough credit given. ^_^
