Old timer finally gets surgery 9/9/9

I am happy for you too. I am new here, but my niece is appealing Kaiser as well.  They told her she needed to lose 30 lbs.  She is a diabetic and has high blood pressure.  I told her if she could lose the weight she wouldn't need the surgery!  I am having my surgery  9-9-9 too! (I don't have Kaiser) I think of it as a good omen too.  Well good luck and I hope to see more postings from you.

We both have the lucky date! Have your niece PM me. I can try to advise her on how to win over Kaiser. It wasn't that hard for me after I got the right information.  I may not be a lot of help for a month, but I am happy to hear from her.

Welcome back, it matter not what type of surgery someone has, what does matter is that you're here for support and friendship.  I sure do hope you might come join us for the Nor Cal Luncheon next month we are a fun bunch and we don't care what type of surgery someone has OR IF they have it.  We just want to be here for one another with support and good friendship!

Thanks Barb, I used to come to all the Nor Cal get togethers at Martinez Park and Chevies in Pleasant Hill. I would like to do that again.

We'd love to have you join us again.  I will be posting pics from yesterday's luncheon later on today.  We will be changing the Nor Cal luncheon site next month, so watch for the posting next week.  I will be working on that this coming week.  Also, we're going to do a road trip to Apple Hill in Oct. some come along it's gonna be fun.

Congrats Barb!!  I know this has been a long tough battle for you but you stuck to your guns.  I wish my insurance would have paid for a DS 6 years ago.  I believe I would not be in the boat that I am now with weight gain and ulcers.  I am trying to get a revision but it will probably be for an ERNY because I don't know if my inusrance will do a DS revision.

Keep us up to date on what is happening!!!
