Bay Area support group needed!

I'm moving from Utah to Benica in 2 weeks and need to find a support group.  Any suggestions???

Hey welcome to Cali.

You betcha, at John Muir in Concord, we have one of the best support groups around.  We meet the 2nd Sat of every month at 10:00 am to 12:00pm at the Concord John Muir Hospital Campus in the Conference room on the 1st floor.  The moderator is Anne Timberlake RN and everyone is welcome.  We generally have about 50+ people show up and just a great bunch of folks.

Also, we do a Nor Cal Luncheon (had one yesterday in fact) every month and those are a blast.  I hope you'll come and join us for that.  I will post about the next one this coming week, so just keep a look out.

I agree Benicia is a niceplace, love to walk in that park by the bay, you can see the big ships.

East Bay Bariatric Support Group is a patient led group that meets in the East Bay in San Leandro on the 3rd Sat. They have a group here on OH:

There is a group coming soon to Pinole.  It is a doctor led support group through Affinity Medical Group.  I will keep you posted.  I also attend the OH luncheon and its a great group!!! I thought about going to the Mt. Diablo support group but figured 3 support groups a month were plenty, since I also attend the support group in Burlingame at Peninsula Hospital (where I had my RnY).  And, on another note.. I also live in Pinole and am just a hop skip and a jump over the Carquinez Straight from your new home in Benicia! My cousin and her family live there and its a wonderful community!!!  Welcome!!!
