Good Morning Chris and Cali Friends,

Great job on the weight loss Cali group!  Whoo hoo!!!

Yesterday we spend most of the day at Ron's Mom's getting ready for his Dad to come home in a couple of weeks.  We did many little projects, I got some filing done for her and some organizing.  She bought two of those lift chairs, which I think are going to work out wonderfully for my father-in-law.  She had some ugly film on her front window which I took off, which really brightened the front room, so that was great too.

Today brings a resume review workshop this afternoon and then band rehearsal tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs,
Barb

Morning California.......

I was up very early, stressing out, so I took care of a few things and fell back to sleep.  I've just been at my limits lately.

Most of you don't know, but I took my sister and my niece in a year ago.  I've rescued my sister ;my whole life.  This was supposed to be for a couple months and we're going on 13 months now.  They've drained me financially as well as mentally and emotionally and I'm at my wits end.  I'm not going to go into all the details, except to say I've allowed myself to be taken completely advantage of by them and I need to make some hard decisions and I'm struggling.

I'm also trying to decide what how to handle my dad's things.  I have to have it done by Saturday and NO ONE, except Harley and my oldest son have been helping me.  My sister has come to help twice and just stood there, not lifting a finger.  At this point I just need to clear out some room in the small unit for the things I'm keeping and then haul away most of the large unit.  When I say JUST, it's A LOT of stuff and going to be a lot of work still.  I'm beginning to think, for my own sanity, it would be best to hire one of those junk places to come haul it away.  My stress level is through the roof with school starting, a new job, my sister, and I'm just thinking it's worth the money to take some pressure off of me.  Would that be terrible?

Sorry to vent about it here, but I'm just having a rough morning.

Thank you to anyone *****ads this.

I hope everyone has a good Thursday!

Janeene,

I hope things get better for you. I know, you have been under a lot of stress with your dad passing & then all the school stuff. Just breathe and remember to take some time for yourself!

Julie:

Thank you.  I'm so embarrassed to say my father passed four years ago this month.  I was a push over and kept this unit because my brother and sister begged me to so they could help me go through it to find "treasures" from my father's life.

Well, in that four years, they've stood with their hands and that's it.  I should have dealt with this a long time ago, but every time, they would say "oh we'll help next month".  They'd offer to reimbuse me for the storage expense and I'd hang on another month, another month.  I was foolish and I have my responsiblity in it.

As of tomorrow though, the large unit will be cleared out and the few treasures left will be  put in a much smaller unit for me to keep.

I know, in my heart, I've honored my father's wishes and taken care of my brother and sister, to my own detriment.  I can live with that.  No one can ever say I wasn't fair in the settlement of his estate, but it's time to move on.

Today is my first day back at work!  Wow!  6 weeks was a long time but gosh I needed it!  The first 5 weeks were really difficult!  I couldn't keep from being exhausted all the time.  I still get tired but nothing like exhausted.  :)

I have lost 31 lbs since my surgery on July 15 and I am now at a stall.  I think maybe because I am not getting enough calories in.  I am trying!!!  It is slow going.

I am looking forward to meeting all you nice folks at the LB Coffee!  My partner and I are really excited about getting in touch with other people in our area that have gone through the same things we are going through.

You all have a GREAT rest of your week!

Lisa

Well it's Thursday and I'm freezing.  It's 98 degrees outside but they fixed the &$(%&$(* air conditioner so well it's so darn freezing in here I'm gonna have to break out the wool socks and thermals

The old man and I are spending the weekend together.  Us, grown-up friends and no kids.  How'd that happen???  Oh, yeah - Jayders went back to school.  His momma reports he's already the "darling of the 1st grade" and has "TONS" of new girlfriends.

I'm also sleepy.  I know why...........if I'd get my butt into bed at a decent hour I'd get enough sleep but I'm not.  Been reading some good Nora Roberts books.   And farming my Face Book Farms.

Back to work..............
