Hi Monica,

Glad to hear you made it I knew you would! Just rest and take it easy
and do what Dr. Kent tells you and let the healing begin.  How long
will you have the drains in for? Truly that was the worst part of the entire
thing. I had them in my breast and my hips and it was a pain getting
dressed and trying to take sponge showers without getting them wet.
I remember the freedom of that first shower with no drains :) How long
are you going to be off work? Try to stay cool and comfortable and take
this time to just relax.

Thank you Kaite! ...and thank you for your encouraging words sent to me privately too! I think everyone in the hospital became a fan of Dr. Kent. I got him at least two new propsective patients!

I CAN NOT WAIT to take a normal shower again. I'm glad I have the baby wipes to cool me down, especially in this heat...but I want to wash my hair!!!

Yes, the drains are cumbersome and I'm always afraid they're going to get tanlged and pulled when I move around in my sleep.

Welcome home and I too wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery.  How many pounds of skin did they take off?  Oh all these personal questions.  When I had my hystercomy in May they had to give me benedryl in my iv too, my face was rashy and swollen.  It helped me to sleep more and ignore my crazy roommate!  Take care of yourself.

Monica,

Congrats, and welcome home.  So glad all turned out well for you.  Do be careful, get plenty of rest and take care of you.  I am wondering if the itching may be from the anesthetic possibly morphine?  I know I had morphine many, many years ago and it created an itching alergic reaction, so this is the first thing I tell my doctors.  Well, the benedryl will help you to sleep as well.

Much love, hugs, and blessing headed your way.

Annette
