Good Morning Saturday!

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali Crew,

I sure wish I could make the LB Coffee today, but alas, obstacles have come up. So I will be with all of you in spirit and thoughts. I hope you all have a blast. Try not to stay in that blazing sun too long. Last night my neice had her baby. 7 lbs and 21 in. It was a girl. Her name is Audrey Lorraine Stone. Her first name is after Miss Audrey Hepburn. She has such long arms and legs. There were problems with the birth. She was in the birth canal too long and really tore my neice up. The baby has a cone head because of that and my neice lost alot of blood. They were going to give her transfusions, due to her bleeding and she kept passing out. The doctors said what we should do is prayer. Well after 1 1/2 hours, she didn't need the transfusion and was resting, even after who knows how many stitches. They said it was just taking longer for her to stop bleeding, I said no, its the power of prayer. I will be going to see my new great-neice tomorrow. My brother is still in the hospital. He may have surgery within the next couple of days, if not today. My friend still isn't doing well at all. I just hope she goes peacefully. I have said my good-byes. Thank you to all that sent me pm's and replies. I have known forever you are all a special group of people and I am proud to call you my friends. Take care and stay hydrated. Have fun this weekend.
Oh, the one thing I am going to do for me....is to sit in a glider (lent to me by a very special friend), and breathe and relax. I may even put some music on and let my mind wander. I haven't done that in a long time........

Good Morning All!  I'm up, vitamins in, first bottle of water in and ready to hit the shower.  Today brings us either a day at the lake or a day out at the shooting range.  Don't know which yet.  Either one is good.  Tomorrow is the event we didn't do today.

I was supposed to go to Palo Alto and work at a PSEA softball tournament but at the last minute cancelled due to my leg.  I am supposed to keep it elevated and being on my feet in the heat at a baseball game would not be good.  Plus the danger of it getting whacked is not good.  So I bailed.  I do have lots of events I am going to make the next couple of months.  We're headed to Santa Cruz the weekend of September 12 & 13 for a volleyball tournament.  2 of my kids are joining me there.  We'll do the boardwalk and a couple other touristy things.

Off to the shower.  maybe.  Or, I may crawl back into bed for a bit

If you'd like tips on restaurants and other things to do in Santa Cruz before you end up here in a couple of weekends, let me know. I'll give you a locals perspective. Of course the Boardwalk is great fun.

Good Morning Rhonda and California,

What a good idea to have everyone say what wonderful thing they will for themselves today.  I always end my post saying to do something good for yourself.  This is better.  WHAT are you going to do just for you.

I got through that dreaded medical procedure yesterday and after all my anxiety it wasn't bad at all.  It wasn't great and I don't want to do it again, but it wasn't bad.  Results were good.  Nothing to worry about.  That is always a good result.

Today brings me finally getting that new fridge.  In a few minues, I'll go hop in the shower and we'll be on our way.  We are just checking out two more places and then will make the final decision of where to get it from and exactly what we are getting. 

After that Mike and I will go out for some lunch and then there are some errands to run for our Labor Day week trip to Boston.  We haven't been there for two years and I'm so excited to be going.  Mike owns a magnificent house on the beach and we are going to spend a week watching the tide go in and out.  We'll probably drag the canoe out of the basement as well and canoe around the inlet as welI. Also have a day planned to meet my cousin from NY in south MA at an antiques fair for a day.  I haven't seen her in 8 years and it will be so wonderful to get to spend the day with her. Then there are all of Mike's relatives that we will have to spend time with and this will be the first time in many many years that Mike and all his brothers will all be in MA at the same time. His mom is just so happy.

OK, so for me today that new fridge is what I will do to make me happy.  Everyone else, remember even if you don't post it here, do something really wonderful just for yourself.

First things first, big hugs to you and know I send them telepathically every day.  Did you get my PM?

Today, I've already showered and changed and am ready to hit the day running.  I do need to do some house cleaning and laundry but it's too hot for laundry so that's going to wait until tomorrow!  I am going shopping with my mother-in-law today and that's always fun.

Today for myself, I am going to buy an outfit for my 2nd interview!!

Good Morning all,

Well today for me is just sitting here in the house.  I got a phone call from Kirsten this morning and she was on the way to the LB coffee because I was going, and hence, I am HOME>  My back just can't take sitting that long in the car with that brace on.  I have to wear it when in the car for obvious reasons, and it causes extreme pain, and I just can't take it, even with the drugs.  I am planning to be there next month.

I had a friend coming over this afternoon but she isn't feeling well, so it will be the same thing today as every other day, doing nothing,  I want so bad to clean my house, go somewhere, see people, do something, but it's not going to happen, not yet.  Gets pretty lonely up here, I love being around people and I am being deprived of that right now.  It will improve there will be a light at the end of this very long tunnel.

Rhonda, I know you work so hard, I mean you had a wonderful fun summer, and now it's all work work work, I just don't know how you do it. 

So glad that Janel and Monica are finished with their surgery, now it's onto their new lives with new bodies.  I am going over to sign Janels page now.  Nothing planned for me today, ok Neosporin on my scar...that is what I am doing for me today.

Good luck to those of you working.  I hope your day goes by fast. Stephanie, I was tired just reading all the things you need to do today. Your Boston trip sounds great too. I've been to most major US cities, but I still haven't been to Boston.

I am going to the beach soon. Santa Cruz is very hot and most houses here don't have air conditioning so it feels even hotter.  My husband is coming with me, but he's not thrilled about it. Hopefully he'll enjoy it once he's there, though I did give him an out.

My mom doesn't want me or anyone else around today. She's in her week of post chemo hell so I'll just call and check in.  I worry about her, but today I can't do much for her so I'll try to enjoy the day.

Oh you should definitely plan a trip to the Boston area sometime MsBlues.  The history alone is amazing.  I lived there for a brief time in the early 80's and there is always some siteseeing adventure to take.

For me, because family is there, that is mostly what we do.  Spend time with Mike's family as we just don't get back there often enough.  But as his family lives in town and we stay at the beach house we get to have our private time vacationing as well.  For me, having grown up on the East Coast by the beach, going there is like going home.  There is a sense of peace that comes over me that I don't quite find anywhere else.  I'm truly looking forward to it this year.

Hope your day at the beach went well.  I love Santa Cruz myself.

Good morning Cali,

Well we made it to Washington.  Spent the morning with my sis she has to work this afternoon.  We are going over to her place tomorrow.  Have the afternoon to our selves.  Not sure of what we are going to do.  go into Seattle or just chill out at the hotel.

Vanessa did great on the drive (even with her every hour I have to go bathroom!).  We took our time and made it in one piece.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.
