Ok, just something fun to do.....Doug went to Redlands about 3:30 and it was 115 degrees, here at the house in the foothills, it's a cool 113.

104 in Victimville

My house in Lakewood is about 82 degrees.  No insulation so my A/C takes forever to cool down the house.  Outside it is 101 @ 4pm (per the car temp gauge coming from the market).  You have no idea how big our electric bills are.  The month of July while I was home from surgery, our bill was $433.  I thank god we have jobs so we can pay the bill.

Now I am going to go sit in my garage and get some filing done so I can have a Labor Day BBQ next week and have a table to use.   I will really sweat now.

Diane, we sure missed you at the LB Coffee today, but we totally understand.  I found some great clothes (mostly pants), I will start looking for shirts now.

Try to stay cool....I am glad you air conditioner is working...It is 103 right now in San Dimas.  Our air condition hasn't worked in a couple years, Thank God we have a pool to try to stay cool.  I just got a call from my neighbor and she said that Edison turned off her air...she is on the summer program and with that you have discount rates through out the year, but Edison can shut off you air for a period of time....now she wants to call them and ask them to turn her air back on....Good luck!!!

Drink a lot of water with this weather!!!

I would never allow Edison to have control over my air.  I have an 88 yr old dad here with emphysima (sp) and me with breathing problems, and there is no way I would have my air off.  My dads doc tells him all the time how lucky he is that I keep the house so cool because I save him from lots of days of going to urgent care.

I am drnking my water even though it is cool in here.  Anyone who can't handle the heat, you are welcome to share our air!

Right now in Citrus Heights  a small town near Sacramento... It is 107... I think I saw a snake on the side of the road carrying a canteen... LOL its hella HOT!!!
