Good Morning Cali Crew and hello from LBC

Yes, it's already hot here in LB.  I am staying in the house today as much as possible.  My electric bill with be very expensive next month from all the fans running day and nite, lol

I have been spending time with my grandkids and loving every moment of it, don't u love lil people.

Great time at LB Coffee.
I made 60 stuffed cabbage rolls for dinner tomorrow night for the Newlyweds home coming, with about 15 dinner guests. Made 2 homemade cheesecakes, will get French Bread tomorrow and make mashed potatoes tomorrow. Oh, that is such the Southwestern Pennsylvania dinner. You can take the girl out of PA, but you can't take the PA out of the girl!!!! LOL!!!
Of course it was all special request by the Newlyweds and of course none of the others complained.
I will really have the air conditioner going tomorrow with the house full.
Enough rambling, got to get gat my oldest daughter from San Clemente, going to a pool party, before we go to pick the Newlyweds up at the OC Airport tonight.

Good Morning Tia D and all of California....stay cool today drink your water!

I made it through the night, Had to get up a few times to pee and was able to do it by myself. I have a very 'high tech' device to call for help when I need it. (An empty water bottle filled with bolts and screws to shake when I need assistance)

My advice to anyone geting plastics...WORK OUT FIRST!! I  have to rely on my leg muscles and upper body strength to get around. It would have been impossible without the muscle I've built up while working with Trainer.

I have some of the most awesome, amazing friends taking care of me. Thank you to everyone who sent me well-wishes....I love the Cali board, as crazy as we all are!!

I feel as though I'm doing really well. Dr. Kent changed my dressings before I went home and he said he was really impressed with how well I had recovered in just one day. He said he removed 8-9 pounds of extra skin. My hips are so narrow and this morning I noticed my booty is a little higher and smoother.

Keep the Vicodin coming!!!

You know, you are exactly correct on getting your muscles strong before surgery.  I ASKED my doctor what I should be doing to make it easier for me after surgery and he said nothing.  Well BS, I wish I had built up my leg muscles a lot more.  They are what gets me out of my chair.  I wish my back muscles were a little stronger too, it kills me to sit up straight or stand to long.  I look forward to the day when I can get myself a personal trainer.  I need to work on all the muscles in my body but be careful to care for my back too.

I am so proud of you Monica, you are such a trooper and you have done so well, I can't wait to see pictures, and even more so to just see you in person.

Yes! You had the right number! I got voicemails from you, Kirsten and a few other friends before I went into surgery...I had my phone off. Thank you for thinking of me!!

Well! Today i am enjoying a DAY OFF from work, from contractors, from painters, from al the chaos of all of those things!
I did get the bathroom painted yesterday and LOVE the color, and posted some pix on my profile. The mirrors and wall lights are not up yet, and the TP holder, and towel racks still to come, but it's really almost there! I enjoy two daily showers just because i can!! LOL...

This heat is brutal... i long for a day where the highs are "only" in the 80s, which lately it's been here by 10am, and then soaring to the 100s.

A neighbor's city tree on the curb lawn area crashed down yesterday and smashed the front of his boat. This happened around 5 or 6 pm. Guess what time a fleet of cop cars and the CHAIN SAWS and the WOOD CHIPPER showed up to clear up the problem? Did you guess midnight? You are correct! so.... sleep was elusive, but i was able to make up for it on the morning end of things today, since it's SUNDAY.

So glad Monica is doing so well, and that Diane is healing well...

Hey Cali, Hope everyone is staying cool as possible today. Yesterday we hit 106 here in the Mother Lode. The smoke from the Yosemite fire is unbearable!!! Everyone is horse and have stuffy noses and headaches. It is a little better today! Thank heavens.

As for me I am doing laundry and I will be sewing more today. I made a dress yesterday and then took it apart, so I could cut it down 2 sizes!!!! I may have to take it down a little more still! I love my RYN. I just wish I could get the scales to start moving again.

Monica, I am sooo impressed that you are up and typing so soon after surgery!!!
