Good Morning

Good morning all.

I'm about to start on my bedroom with a trashbag and boxes.  I'm feeling a little scared about this move.  I've told my oldest son.  My youngest knows we're moving, just not how soon.  He wants to come with us but I have a feeling he may join us a month or two later.

I haven't told my sister yet for good reasons, that's all I'm really going to say there.

I've lived here in Garden Grove since I was three years old.  I love Washington, but this is a huge move for me.  Ugh.  I'm missing school work (can you believe that?)  As soon as we get there, I'll be signing up for a local CNA course and begin working.  In Washington, you have to work as a CNA for one year in order to apply to the RN program.  I'm actually looking forward to that.

Oh, and I was supposed to start work today.  At 9:50 last night, I received a phone call telling me that it was this perons' birthday and they took her on a last minute trip to San Diego, so can I start on Thursday.  Ugh, again.  It's no biggie, I just wish they would have called earlier.  

I'm keeping glued to my TV while I work today.  All these fires are horrible.  I have a cousin and some old friends from high school who live in the area of the fires and I'm so worried.  I'm keeping the firefighters and their families in my prayers too.

Ok, going to start packing.

Good Morning Ladi Di and all the california peeps!

Boy, these damn fires!  I remember a few years back when San Luis Obispo was in real threat of going up in flames.  Scary sh*****ching the flames roll over the hills.  The 101 freeway was flaming on both sides.  I really don't know why they didn't close it down.  Then a couple of years ago, the Grapevine.  It was twilight and I was coming home from some L.A. adventure.  They were closing it off because of the fire.  The flames were so intense.  I was one of the last cars to get through before they closed it off.  Yuck!

Today is meatball day.  I am making a bunch of meatballs to freeze.  Everybody loves them but they are a PITA to make.  I also am taking Phillip out and attempting to teach him how to drive a 5 speed!  Phillip is my significant other Jeff's son.  He and my oldest Dusty (the Air Force guy) have been best friends since we moved to the neighborhood when they were in first grade.  Dusty decided to sell his car instead of having it shipped to Texas and then to Japan.  Phillip needs a car so if he can learn the stick shift fairly easily, he is going to buy Dusty's car.  Way cool!  No strangers coming to the house asking about the car.  I wish I had his car.  It is way nicer than my little egg beater of a car.  But my car gets me where I am going and never breaks down so I really can't complain.

I FINALLY got an appointment into the pain management doc for my leg.  There might be something new for me to try.  Pretty much have tried everything and it doesn't work.  The neurontin did work for a few months, but eventually stopped working.

Guess that is it for me.  Hope everyone enjoys their heated day.  Today is supposed to be hotter than yesterday, at least in my area.
