Saturday I am going to Stockton to a Pow Wow it should be a ton of fun.

I am doing all I can to have fun because I am having surgery next Thursday on my left shoulder and will not be doing much of anything while I recover. So I have one week to enjoy all I can then it is rest and recovery.

Say a little prayer the it all goese well for me.

Yuck!! Shoulder surgery!! Ouch...I had to had one done 3 years ago and was stuck in what is known as an airplane splint, living hell is what it should be called!! 6 weeks of that was enough to put me in the loony bin.LOL
Will keep you in my toughts and prayers as well as my Daughter in law, she is having breast cancer surgery tomorrow. Call me if you mneed anything ...I just across the river.

Joy I am saying a prayer for your DIL. Stay strong for her and yourself.

My surgeon is in Jackson his name is Raymond Peterson.

I have spurs and artheritis, and a torn rotor cuff. He is not sure if the tendon is detached or not. He is going to shave some bone off remove some from my collar bone too. Then fix everything else. He said I will be in a sling that is fastened to my waist so my shoulder is stableized. It sounds hot and  a pain to me.

I wish I could tell you that shoulder surgery is a piece of cake, but it really isn't.  When the doctor says you can move it, start walking up the wall with your arm very slowly.  Just go as far as you can and stop. They will probably give you physical therapy as well.  Dr. Caviale took 1/2 inch of my shoulder and did a rotor cuff repair.  I have the same problems in my other shoulder but he felt the first one was not a success and will not do the other one unless it really becomes a problem. I had to retire from the PO because I could no longer deliver mail.  I love retirement but I am still in a degree of pain everyday, but nothing like it used to be.  Motrin usually takes care of it.  Good Luck with your surgery.

As the unofficial queen of surgeries....what are you having done to your shoulder?

Joy, thank you for the Holiday greetings.  Now it all begins.  I think Walmart already has Christmas stuff out.  I love the fall, I just wish we were having fall weather.  I would love to live on the east coast this time of year.  Wishing you a great Holiday weekend too...what do you have planned?

We went to Costco on Monday and they have started putting their Christmas stuff out too!  Boy pretty soon it will be Christmas year round!

Oh boy Joy, will be praying for her.  I hope they can get it all. 

Exesue are you having surgery in Modesto?  Who is doing it?  Dr. Caviale did mine two years ago.  He is great.  I just love that man.  His entire office staff is so nice!  Good Luck!

We are staying close to home this weekend.  My husband is planning on getting some more Dove Hunting in this weekend.  Monday I start my liquid diet, Tues is pre-op with physician and pre-admission with hospital and blood drawn.  Then Wed. is my big day.  I am feeling very good about it!  I might go to the movies with a friend on Monday to see the new Sandra Bullock film.  The last one was so funny.  This one looks good too.
