Well, I'm new. I just joined yesterday after hearing about this website from a support group last week. I am pre-op, finishing up the last of my requirements. I have a few general questions, maybe someone could send me a message and answer them.

What is the normal recovery time before I can return to work? I work with computers so I'm sitting down all day.
Actually that's the only one I can think of right now.

Hi, all!  My name is Amy.  I am from the Sacramento area.  I am 33 years young and, a mother of 2 wonderful teenagers.  I am scheduled for surgery on the 29th of September.  I have a full range of emotions.  Fear, excitement, joy...you name it, I'm probably feeling it.  This has been a 6 month long journey for me.  Not as long as some, I know.  However, it has still been a roller coaster.  I have been reading forums for a while now but, I have never introduced myself.  I guess I wanted to make sure I would be approved before I jumped in. 

It's so nice to be here, I look forward to making new friends!
