Good Monday Morning!

Good Morning everyone,

Can you believe that it is already Labor Day?  I have always thought Labor Day as the end of summer and the start of the Holiday season.  I was at Costco on Sat, OMG, they had Christmas trees out already.  I am just not ready for that, I would like to get to Halloween first, THEN we can think about Christmas. 

Yesterday brought another outing for me.  I went to Chino Hills which takes us about 45 minutes to drive to, and was at a BBQ with my middle sister.  I did really well in the car, under the influence of drugs.  But things are slowly improving.  I tried to walk to the bathroom with just holding onto Dougies arm, nope, couldn't do it, so I am not ready to think about getting rid of that walker.  But we had a really good time and enjoyed ourselves alot.

If you get a chance to get out to Rhondas on Sat, it should be a good time.  She is the hostess with the mostess, and it will be fun to meet Barb.  I feel like I know her already, that happens alot on this board, it's like we are one huge family.  There are some that don't play along well, and others you meet on here, that you feel like you have known them forever.

So it's the last day of the Holiday weekend, (sorry Gus) so what is everyone doing today?  As for me, I don't want to see the likes of my downstairs for awhile.  Going down the stairs is easy, coming up, well let's just say, thank heavens the banaster is build well.  I am going to relax and enjoy time with Doug.  We, well Dougie is going to move some things around the house for me, and I will do what I can, not alot don't worry, to fix things up some.

EVERYONE, enjoy today, as Rhonda says, do something for yourself no matter what it is.

Good MOrning Diane and Cali Guys and gals!

I guess I am not the only one up at this ungodly hour.  You would think I would be sleeping like a rock after yesterday.  We went to Raging Waters with all the kids they so had a ball.  I got a bit upset though as I rented what I thought was a Premium Cabana for the kids.  Come to find out it was a discusting mess.  I will never go back to tell you the truth.  I did get my money back on the cabanna though so that helped and ended up getting the entire family and a freind a spray on tatoo.  So that was fun.  The best part the kids never knew that I was so upset about the condition of the cabana.  I have never inmy life seen anything so filthy dirty  in my life.  All the chairs were broken and the tables were broken and cracked.  So next time I will go to Palm Springs and just skit Raging waters.  Enough of that though.  I did ride a whole gob of rides and had fun doing that.  They actually had some healty food to eat there too and that was a good thing. 

So what is everyone doing today?  Me pool time and BBQ I think  I wanted to go to Costco but I am not sure they are open today or not, so I may squeeze that in or just wait till Thursday and go.  I can't wait for BARB to come it is going to be great.  I am hoping for a houseful of guests to welcome her arrival.

Good Morning Calif.......

Well today is the start of another hellish week. I starting a nother set of 12 hours shifts. I will only have thrusday off. I am hoping that with day off in the middle it wont be so bad. But thrusday is not a true day off. I need to be in San Bernandino for an appointment with DD. So I wont be aready much once again. Sorry!

Of I forgot to tell you all. DD had her first set of test at Loma Linda and it look like things are getting bigger, and that might mean another BIG surgery. At least this time it will be a Loma Linda. Not that I am wish anything on DD, but if she must have the surgery then she is better off having the surgery there. I guess this surgery will be alot like the first one she had. The 12 hours one not any of the little ones that took place the after that one. Dang I hope that make since, I was not ready to get up this morning but work called, so I don't have coffee yet.

OK time to shower, and get my body moving.

Oh my goodness....talk about a pretty face....You my dear.  It is so good to see you.  It has been way to long.  Doug is going to get some relief from housework soon, I called my old cleaning lady.  She cleans like I do, so I am thrilled to know that my house will be the way I like it at least two days a month.  I am going to try and see if we can get her to come out here every week till I can mend.

How are you doing, what have you been doing, and how is your sister.  I really really really miss you guys.  How about we plan on something even a lunch one day?

Good morning Diane and Cali,

Well yesterday we wound up going into the city.  Someone punctured tow tires on my M-I-L's van.  She had no clue just that they were flat.  So we took the portable air pump and just by looking at one we could see the cut.  We stayed and had lunch and visited.  Then we drove around the city the bridge is closed so the freeways were not too bad except going home on 101.  Went to Crissy Park and walked and watched the dogs in the water.

Wound up staying for dinner and got home around 7.  I was very tired to say the least!  Not sure what today brings, hopefully a quite day at home and maybe I will BBQue.

Diane, I'm glad that you are feeling better and stronger.  Just don't get carried away.

Good Morning Diane and Cali Friends,

Happy Labor Day.  It can't be Labor Day already, it was just 4th of July!  OMG time passes so quickly.

Diane, you rest up for next Sat, cuz we're gonna have a rip roarin' time!  I am so excited!!!  I am so glad each day is getting better for you.  You're gonna be running a marathon pretty soon huh?

Yesterday took me to San Jose for a shower for one of my cousins kids.  We had so much fun and laughter.  Since I was an only child my cousins were pretty much like siblings so we are pretty close.  We all look like sisters as well, they always call me the 4th sister.  My cousins daughter in law is having a girl, and I can't believe how many cute things they have for kids now, in colors that weren't very traditional when my kids were babies.

Today nothing planned, thank goodness!  I will take inventory of my work clothes so I have some stuff to wear.  There isn't much in the closet these days with sizes changing, so I may have to do the shopping I have been putting off.

I hope everyone has a great day and super week ahead too.  Sure hope to meet a lot of you next weekend.

Hi Diane and the Cali Crew,

Diane, please take it easy! I think it is good though that you try to test where your body is at in terms of walking.  It does sound like you're taking care of yourself. I also hear you on the Christmas stuff being displayed already at Costco. I don't know why, but seeing Christmas stuff out bugs me. Maybe I just don't want to recognize that summer is almost over.

I have loose plans today. I might be meeting up with someone for breakfast. Living in Santa Cruz means I get phone calls all the time from people zooming into Santa Cruz for a couple of days which means getting to see people from college I haven't seen for awhile. It's usually a lot of fun to meet up with these folks.

I probably will be at the beach this afternoon with a friend since my husband is a stinker probably won't come. We do have to drop him in a vat of sun block before we go because he's so white!!

I don't want the three day weekend to end. It's been much fun and so relaxing. My food has been good. I notice when I feel relaxed and I am doing what I want, I don't crave more food than I need. So I guess the solution is for me to quit my job and be a bum!! I need to for my health! HA HA
