Good Tuesday Morning! Short Week! Short Week

Tell me why is it harder to get up and go after a 3 day weekend then a regular 2 day weekend?  I am bushed!  lol.  I had a great weekend and I know I am going to have a great week as my very own Barb is coming to town on Friday (you do notice she belongs to me!  lol, I am very selfish).  Well this week is going to be fun I just know it and I can feel it in my bones.  I got a lot on my plate. I have 2 big groups for hiking on Friday and I just love that.  I look forward to seeing them and hearing all about their lives.  It is going to be great. 

I got out of my box again yesterday!  I painted my toenails black.  NOw I did have the cutest little white polka dots put on the top of that, but they are black.  My hubby just loves them. 

WEll I got to go farm my land talk soon and do something nice for yourself today.  Do it early so you don't forget.

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali,

Well today its back to the grind.  Of course the students don't show until tomorrow so its a borring day of meetings and lots of listening to false promises and fake cheer.  Don't I sound positive.  I just don't like this day.  If I'm at school kids should be there too.  I'm okay with leaving Jordyn right now but I know it will hit me later.  But what's a single mom to do until I win the lotto.  Actually I am just thrilled to have a job.  Plus I love teaching.

It gets easier I promise.  I used to hate leaving my son.  They usually cry and throw a fit until after you are out of eye shot.  They have a great time at day care or babysitting and they just do it cause it makes you feel guilty.  Those little buggers are smart.  It worked for me I felt bad, then one day I snuck behind something and peaked in and seconds after I left my son was laughing and having a grand time.  So ever since then I was AOK!  You will be too.  Have a great day and focus on the love of Teaching and let the bull be just that bull.

back to work indeed...this is the beginning of my THIRD week of school this year....we started early...

had a great time yesterday having lunch with three grads from last year, and then we poked around shopping in Big Lots together..they were funny... we passed a mattress store and they all wanted to try a Temperpedic mattress... like the commercial with the glass of wine that doesn't fall when the person jumps on the other side? so...we did it! and they even have a fake glass of wine that you can set on the other side... funny kids... good times...

Good morning Rhonda and Cali,

I have plenty on my plate today.  I have to write up a couple of evaluations for my staff, get lots of work reviewed and study.  I did not do as much done as I wanted this weekend, but what I did do seemed to sink in. 

I am hoping to the the exam next weekend so say a prayer  for me.  This will really help me out for work if I can pass it.

Good Morning Ms. Rhonda and Cali Friends,

Wow, today starts a new chapter in my life and I am really looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.  This morning started out well, the Bay Bridge is open again, not that it matters to me, but for all those commuters across to SF, they will be so happy.

My new boss told me to "come in around 10ish" so I will!  That works for me but normally I think I will be arriving around 7 or so.  This way I am on the freeway early both ways.

Yesterday I took my neighbor on a social shopping outting.  She says she hates to shop, and I told her she needs to learn to social shop and she will enjoy it.  We started off at WalMart, went to Target and ended up at Claires.  We both had a great time and she agreed, it was fun going with someone else.  I was able to get a few things for work, pants, a cardigan, shoes and some earrings.  I had FUN!

Well, I better get up and start wiggling, got lots to do and then off to work.

Had so much fun today.  Everyone was so nice, friendly and helpful.  Had a nice salad for lunch in the cafeteria along with my iced tea for 3 dollars, what a deal!   I'll keep you posted.

Today is my pre-op and then my pre-admission and tomorrow surgery.  I have to admit I do feel a little bit nervous.  This thought went through my mind a few minutes ago, "What are you doing??!!"  Just a little bit of last minute cold feet.  Maybe because I haven't had anything but liquids since my last meal Sunday.  I don't even feel hungry.  I am drinking protein water.  Well everybody have a great day. 

Hey Elizabeth!  EVERYBODY feels nervous, a little anxious and terribly excited the day before...and don't let anyone tell you differently LOL  It's all normal...and if you didn't feel those things, I would be more concerned about that!  You will do great!  Everyone here is just as excited about your new birthday as you are...and we can't wait to see on you on the Loser's Bench.  Have a wonderful uneventful surgery and a super speedy recovery...we want to know you are home and living your new life ^_^
