Good Morning all!!
Here is hoping that everyone had a great evening and a good nights sleep!!! Hey GUS, tomorrow is Friday, one more day! Speaking of Friday, a trip to the doctor and then it's party weekend. I can't wait. Just to be out in the sunshine, and out of my bedroom.
Yesterday I got the carpets cleaned in the house. No I didn't do it, I hired someone. It looks great in my room and wish I had done it sooner. Today he comes back and is doing the tile floors and then resealing everything. It will be so pretty. No Naomi, it's not because you are spending the night, it needed to be done. Of course it is nicer for Doug, I won't be nagging him on the floors needing to be vacumned!
So ok, now that we can smell the freedom of Friday evening, what do you all have plans on doing this weekend? I don't think I have to tell anyone what I am going to do. It will be so nice for Doug to get out too, he is just working so hard at work, and things are not that easy there for him, personnel problems, and then home all the time taking care of me. I feel really bad for him. On top of that, we are getting all the medical bills. I can't believe how much we have to pay, and we have, what I thought, was pretty good insurance. All of it is just adding stress on him, and I just keep telling him to relax. So this will be a good stress reducer for him. He did a great job changing the dressing on my scar yesterday. Poor guy had to stick saline soaked gauze into the hole in my back. Glad he isn't one of those people that freak when they have to do something like that, and funny, at one point I think he may have been enjoying stuffing that stuff into the hole in my back! I thought I may have seen a smile on his face once when I glanced up and was yelling, OUCH!!!
On a good note, Bebaugh (elizabeth) is on the losers bench! Way to go, and can't wait to see you posting.
Ok kids, have a wonderful, funfilled, terrific Thursday! Make it a great one, do something good for yourself and spread a smile.

Diane - so glad Dougie was able to do the nursing duties and I agree he may have been getting some secret satisfaction from "stuffing" that hole in your back...lol. So its almost the weekend and I know so many ofyou will be partying and having a blast while I am "working" the flea market trying to make some extra cash....
Yesterdays estate sale was very slow and boring and I am hoping that today and tomorrow are busier so the day goes by faster. At least its fun spending time with good friends while working at the same time. And the location of the sale is awesome as it is in a high rise on Ocean Blvd in LB with the most awesome biew of the ocean....
So I guess its time forme to go take a quick read of the newspaper then get in the shower to begin my day....

I am jealous that your carpets are all clean...I have GOT to get that done soon as well..I am just procrastinating because of all the things that have to be moved up and out of the way. My dream would be to have hard wood floors through out the house but alas that is definitely not in my budget at this time.

Yes it is Thursday already! Boy all this cleaning. WEll for those of you who are coming to my house, your going to have to just forgive me if my house is not spit spot I have just been working way way too much! I will do my best though I promise.
I was hoping tonight that I would be able to get some of it done, but I forgot I have to man the turtle booth at an Environmental Fair! They are actually tortises, but I can't spell that so I said turtle. I better learn to spell it by tonight as I have to talk all about these things. lol.
I am so exited for this weekend. All my buddies are coming out, coming up, coming down, coming around. It is going to be really great! I can't wait! I get to see some old and some new faces and I get to see my Barb!
Well I better get going so I can work on my talk about turtles tonight. Heck why can't I just put my kids in the cage and talk about them I can spell kids and I know everything there is to know about my kids! lol

More fun at work yesterday, I was on my own and started making things my own too. I even managed to help a few folks! Got my nails done after work so they don't get up and walk off my hands!

I told her I'm gonna load her kiddos up with Double Stuff Oreos and her up with White Zin, so I better get crackin'. I can get my 7 layer dip stuff when I get down there. Well the DH's interview went well yesterday. Say a prayer he get a call for the second. They seemed impressed with his background. Vanessa went to day care and was so wound up when she got home, it has been 5 months since she has gone. They still remembered her and she just played!
I am trying to get this studying completed so I can try and take this exam next weekend. I really need quite time and that is hard to come by with a 3 year old. Oh well I can only do what I can do!

I am so tired this morning. I think I was only at work 15 minutes before I had to go make some coffee. I almost have my first cup down and thinking about a second. I have a leadership class at church that is every other Wednesday night after church. We did not get out until almost 10 last night. I have to get up at 4:00 for work so it is hard to be out that late. It is a year long class so hopefully, I will survive...lol.
I am looking forward to this weekend's festivities. It is always nice to get out with friends. I can't wait to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. I just love OH because of the people.

Today is hopefully the last full day of my house arrest! I go back to Dr Lee tomorrow morning to have my final 2 drains removed. I'm so tired of being in the house and only being allowed to watch TV or read, it's sounds good, but it gets so old fast!
I am down 15 pounds in less than two weeks from the tummy tuck, so happy for that! I've heard so many stories of people swelling but have been lucky that hasn't happened to me. Yesterday I put on a top that I wore all the time before and it hung on me. Looks as though it's time to pass on some more clothes and buy new ones!
Saturday is my niece's first soccer game, so that will be my first outing, and I'm thrilled!

looks like everyone has a great weekend planned out so far. Today I actually have my 6month post op appointment in Anaheim, so I get to do that today. I'm also heading out of town right after that, so hopefully I get out of my appt. early enough to beat the traffic.

I assume you have figured out (I'm sure a long time ago! LOL) that Doug is a 'keeper' as my husband would say. ;-) What a wonderful man to step up to the plate...other guys would say call a visiting nurse for such duties. Bless that man, Diane! And happy to hear you are feeling up to visiting with Rhonda and the wonderful Barb this weekend. That alone is just fabulous..you being able to get out and moving...Just DON'T overdo!
I've been here reading everyday but just haven't had time to post much. Lost a day as usual with Monday being a holiday so missed WWW yesterday :-( Bored of Directors (and yes, I spelled it incorrectly on purpose LOL) meeting is next week and the boss has turned into a micro-manager...even though he has been out of the office since last week...dang! text messaging :-( He's driving everyone in the office nuts...hey boss! WE KNOW our jobs!!
Lon and I have been checking out class c m/h...Lon has decided he's tired of shifting our stick shift even tho we get fabulous gas mileage (17-18mpg) so our evenings have been running all over town and outlying areas checking out ones for sale. As much as I would like a bigger rig, nothing out there beats what we have...so I told Lon the 'season for buying a m/h' is just beginning (fall/winter) so there is no rush...the right one will eventually turn up. Of course, if we won the lottery we could buy almost anything...but I guess you have to play to win. And I'm stingy even with a dollar LOL
Went and had my 6mo blood work drawn this morning..only 6 viles..someone told me it would be more like 10...man, was I happy! My appt is next Tuesday; get to go to Vacaville instead of Richmond..saves me about 45minutes travel time. Apparently, Kaiser opened a new facility and they are trying to make it easier for Sacramento area patients for their appts. And I won't have to take a whole day off from work just to go to the appt. Of course, they could have called me a week ago...then I could have called in sick Friday and gone with BARB to Rhonda's!!! Grrrrrrrrr ;-(
