Morning Diane and Cali gang
What a Fantastic Shout Out Lady!  I agree with Barb..you are now officially the Shout Out Queen ^_^  Doug must be a sound sleeper to stay asleep with you typing away right next to him LOL My Lon would be awake the minute I got up to grap the computer!

Today is catch-up Friday at work...try to finish up everything that was put off when I had Bored of Directors meeting stuff to get finished.  I'll be by myself after 1...the boss is gone, my Membership director is leaving early, the office manager called in 'sick' (like yeah...we walked 3 miles yesterday!) and my parttimer will be gone by 1:30.  I'll still get my walk in before the MD leaves...even brought my 4 legged friend to work so she can walk with me ^_^

Lon will be picking me up at 3:30 and then we're off to the 5th wheel at 1000 Trails.  We've spent all week looking on craigslist and websites for a new used class c m/h...we're exhausted! LOL And frustrated :-(  Can find some really nice ones but Lon is picky about engine size (something about gas mileage? LOL) so it eliminates a whole bunch of them.  We're going to be looking at a class a in Oregon House, which is down the street from the park but I think it has the wrong size engine but the price is sure enticing..only $4200!

Well, time to get to work....to everyone converging on Rhonda's..you better enjoy yourselves and have a blast partying all weekend!!  I am soooo jealous....Barb and Ron are fun people! I know the rest of us are expecting volumes of pictures from EVERYBODY!  Hugs to all!

Good morning Diane and everyone,

Diane what a great shout out to everyone and thank you for the encouraging words. I have the admissions interview with the college on Tuesday morning and hope it goes well. I must say seeing the words of support here has mad me a little excited about doing this.

Today for me is taking my dog to the vet to get his neck checked out and having the stiches in my face removed from the Basal Cell proceedure last week. I must say that I am feeling a little picked for the past week or so but all is good.

Have a great day everyone............Rick

Hi Diane and Cali Crew,

Diane, I love your shout outs. You do such a great job including so many of us. I always appreciate being on your shout out lists.

Maureen, welcome to Santa Cruz this weekend! I hope your volleyball tournament goes well. I assume you're on the main beach because that's where most volleyball is played. The weather should be nice for the weekend.

I hope you all have fun at Rhonda. It sounds like a blast.

I don't have set plans, but I am hoping I get some friends together for the Greek Festival. It will be interesting to see how much longer I can dance now that I am 68 pounds lighter since the last festival. Opa! I will also be helping my mom with her garden on Sunday and running errands for her on Saturday.  She's getting ready for another chemo treatment next week.

Take Care!

Greek Festival, how fun is that going to be?  I dated a greek for a long time back in my teens and 20's, we used to go to the Greek Village in Hollywood every friday night.  What a blast we used to have.  Ozo (sp) and dancing, yes this Italian can dance with the best of them!

Have a great time, Diane

How is the back?

Pretty sad when family only talk to each other on here.  I will be home Sunday.  I go to the doctor today and then gone tonight, home later, then gone all day tomorrow.  I will give you a call on Sunday.  Be ready for a marathon.  Oh yeah, Thanksgiving here, and Vicki's 5th birthday party on Dec 25th.  She is going to require a gift for this one.  Something soft and squeeky works for her.

Talk to you soon.  Love You lots.  D

Wonderful shout out, Diane, thanks for including me!!

Weekend - just some much-needed rest.  On Sunday my little one has a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese (oy vey, I can feel the headache already!) and we have church, that's about it.

But, on a high note for today:  Every Friday is "donut and/or bagel day" at my work.  Let me tell you, it has been the bane of my existence to see those pink boxes every week for the past 3 years.  But today, for the first time ever, I didn't even look in the box.  Just got my morning coffee & toodled back to my office, sans donut.

I have to chalk it up to this wonderful new place I've been hanging out online - all the stories & photos are a wonderful inspiration!

Horray for you.  That is wonderful.  I tried a donut about a year out and it sucked.  Wasn't at all like I remember them and never wanted another one since!  You keep up what you just did today...that's great.

Hugs, Diane

This is a great accomplishment! Good for you! It will get easier each time you don't indulge.  I have a difficult time with this sometimes when I see everyone else around me indulging, but since surgery, and with some practice before, it's become less and less like torture to say "no" to crappy foods and feels more like I am doing myself a favor.

Good Morning Cali!! Thanks for the shout out Diane. No plans for the weekend except going to the gym and maybe taking my puppys to the beach. My other half (Mike) will be working.

Has anyone out there ever walked in the Walk from Obesity Walk? There are a couple coming up. I thought I might check them out. I am trying to add some running into my cardio. Didn't think I would ever say that!!

I had my physical on Wednesday. What a change from last year!! I am no longer diabetic, blood pressure was 114/80 with no medication and my cholestrol is 174. I am so happy and so is my doctor.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
