Great Monday Morning!
Howdy All! It sure sounds like I missed another fantastic weekend is Hysterical Hysperia! Darn. I did have fun myself tho. We were in Santa Cruz playing beach Vollyball in a tournament. I am on the Board of Trustees for our Employee's Association. Every year the BOT has a team in the tournament and every year for the last 21 years we've lost every game. I am proud to say we have broken that record! We actually won a game. Hell we got kicked out of the tournament so fast our heads were spinning, but we had a good showing! Yay!
So, the remainder of the day was spent under the canopy watching the games (ie 3 old ladies oogling the younger male players with no shirts on). Or, we were in the bar right next to the canopy drinking and singing karaokee. I did take a nice long walk down the wharf and another walk along the beach. They got us rooms n the Casa Blanca Hotel and my room was overlooking the ocean and I had the windows open and everything. Ahhhhh, heaven.
Georgia and I drove down together and on Sunday she wanted to scoot on over to Morgan Hill to see her pregnant niece and leave her a baby present. I dozed while she drove and it turns out it took quite a bit longer than originally planned as she got.........lost. Back on track, present delivered heading up the freeway and she decides she has to pee. We stopped at The Great Mall in Milpitas (they have bathrooms there!) and about 2 hours later we were done. I love the way this woman thinks!
I got home last night around 7 and hit the sack around 9:30. Tired (a bit hung over still, too).
Too much paper here. Where's my flame-thrower?
Outta here................... I will have to come down again and have Rhonda throw yet another Hisperia Pot Luck! (besides, I gotta tickle my boyfriend JJ!)
I had a very busy weekend and I am trying to figure out why. I did spend a good amount of time with my mom getting her ready for her next round of chemo. I made sure the garden was in good order, went shopping and ran errands with her and then went to lunch. I also did chores and maintenence projects around my house because I've been neglecting things to attend to my mom. OK, I guess I know why I was busy.
I may finally be turning the corner on feeling so tired. I am now taking more iron. My hope is I have more energy and stop feeling light headed. I haven't been exercising the past couple of weeks because I've been so fatigued. I haven't gained but I am not losing much either. I plan on exercising tonight on the stationary bike at home.
My mom is going to get news about where her cancer is in general. Her dream is to travel across the country or at least the East Coast (NYC, DC, Boston). I might look into taking time off unpaid so I can go with her. We shall see what happens.
