Morning Barb and Welcome Home!

Today I am Thankful for:

Barb and Ron having a safe drive to and from Southern California...No Cali lunch would NOT be the same without them.

Wonderful new friends who are so loving and gracious to open their home and hearts to new people...without questions or expectations.

All the connections I have made here on OH...it is just amazing to me how a common bond, such s WLS, can bring so many people from so many different backgrounds together in friendship and support.  We are PRICELESS!!

My fabulous hubby...who had no idea what kind of ride he was going on when he jumped on this WLS bandwagon..I thank GOD for him everyday ^_^

have a great day, Cali!

Hi Barb and all,

I really like today's quote! Being a perfectionist has made me miserable. I've also denied myself many opportunities because things weren't perfect. I will try to do that no more!

Today I am thankful for;

1. Not running out of gas on my way to work this morning. I had a meeting at 7:45 am and forgot I needed to fill my car up. Luckily the gas light came on right as I arrived

2. My morning meeting was interesting and I was able to contribute to the conservation.

3. My day zipping by which means what I am doing interests me. I've been reading a lot of interesting articles on California water policy.

Next!!

I am so thankful for all of you on these boards, that even when I disappear for a lil bit i feel ok to come back and get such support from you all.

thankful for reading the posts and gaining motivation to do a 5k walk.. how exciting is that.  Im going home to Burbank to pick up my walking/running shoes and my mp3 player to start training.

Thankful for the clothing exchange at the LB coffee... I actually can wear some of them now! Yehaww!  and I love a new pair of jeans I got there.. totallly stoked.  Cleaned out some of my clothes and started a bag to take to the next one!

Hugs and love to you all!

I am so thankful that my surgery is over and that I am home where I belong.

That I am getting in enough protein water and plain water and being able to walk.

For my hubby who takes good care of me even when he has been sick too!

That I haven't pooped in my pants today!

Sounds like you all had a wonderful trip. Im sure you are getting excited about starting your new job, and Im so excited about meeting you and so many others on the 26th.

I wanted to tell you thanks for such an uplifting and positive stepping out post you gave today, I really needed this and it like spoke to me. Im deciding now Lap Band (already approved) or RNY and very scared about considering  RNY I know it  is such a major surgery and so risky. I know  your right about the challenges and always something  and no guarantees in anything even life. Im taking baby steps thats about all Im capable of now just cant or not ready to take that plunge and say go for it and feel so good and positive as I know I should feel. Im not even sure if insurance will go for the RNY so time will tell. My Mom love her so much lives in Indy all my family does except my (2) grown children here with me said today honey once you make your decision you will feel better, stronger and positive about it. Moms always know even when we are Moms and old ourselfs (lol). But again your post just helped so much today for me.
So Im thankful for so many things, people some of whom I dont even know, family, my dogs, that I even have choices to make.

Have a great week. glad you all had a safe fun trip for whatever it was for. See you soon.
