IT's Terrific Tuesday!

It is terrific if you believe it is terrific!  I believe that it is.  It is going to be a great day!  I can feel it in my bones.  I am so happy for little Michelle, She is going to be all perky and hotter than ever in a few weeks!  I am so glad that everything was approved.  I have not had much time to read all the posts but I am going to try and catch up this week.  With working and all these kids I am surprized I have time for anything!  lol. 

Well got the house spruced up after the weekend of wonderful fun!  It was sure a wonderful time.  I am getting ready to walk a 5k with all of my children this weekend and that is going to be great fun!  I just can't wait.  Then we are going to the Hesperia Days Parade and events of the day.  It should be really fun.  Small town fun.

Well what is everyone up to today?  Are you planning to do something nice for yourself?  I hope so.  Me it is going to finish cleaning off my desk and that is a good thing.

I got some good news at work,  I heard that there was going to be lay offs so I figured since I was the newest person that it would be me, but when I spoke to HR yesterday she said nope I am not on the list to be layed off as I do such a variety of things for them that they need me no matter what.   I guess it pays to be a jack of all trades and a master of none!  lol.

Well I better get going and do some farming.  Miss you guys.

I am so glad to hear about the news from HR yesterday and your job.  You are one talented person and you would be sorely missed, they know a good thing when they see it!

So glad you recouped from the weekend, I hope the kids and Gerry have too.

Weekend brings my Step Mom over to our side of the Bay, either Ron or I will go get her I think on Thursday as she doesn't drive.  Ron's Dad said yesterday he's up to dinner out with us on Friday night and that's fantastic!  I think I will have everyone over for dinner on one night of the weekend and probably some shopping with the two Mom's.

Well I am late for my shower again, hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali,

Well its not terrific yet.  My mom has someone coming out today to look at some work she wants done on the house so she took my daughter home with her last night and I was all alone.  I made it through but I didn't like it.  On top of that my co-teacher's mother has been sick and yesterday she came in saying her throat was scratchy and now so is mine.  UGH.  It will be a long day as we have mandatory afterschool meetings today.

On the plus side though I get to come home to my baby girl and we are going to harvest my carrots today and my mom is going to make carrot cake with them (this is a tradition with every garden I have ever had).  I am so excited, I pulled one on sunday and it was 6 in.  I have never had the patience to really let them grow that big its just sad.  So we will see.  I will take pics of course.

That sounds pretty terrifc to me Monica, Carrot cake!  How cool is that?  A night with out kids?  I am so jealous.  I will take your not too terrific anyday!  lol.  I hope you are feeling better soon and don't get the yuckies.  Give Jordan a big hug for me!  We missed you this weekend, but maybe next trip.

Good morning Rhonda and everyone!!! 

yes, you are right Rhonda it is going to be a terrific day!!  I got to work a little early since I have to leave by 11:45 for a dental appointment then I am going home to clean...you know the ladies come this week to clean the house...so I have to get it ready for them or as my daughter would say... I have to clean it for them first.

I am so excited for my upcoming surgery, but it looks like I am going to have to change the date for the middle of October...  The reason for that is because when I came into work this morning I had 3 emails from the PS office with pre-op instruction and there is no way I'll be able to get everything done in time, plus I checked my work calendar and I am booked busy until at least the second week of October.  I am going to call/email the PS office this morning and see if I can scheduled it for sometime around Oct 5 or the 12...I'll keep you all posted.

Also, I would like to Thank Rhonda again for having us all at her house over the weekend...it was GREAT and I really enjoyed meeting Barb and Ron and seeing everyone.  I LOVE seeing everyone and spending time with you all!!!  I am so excited about Toms Farm!!!

Well, I better get back to work...and remember tell someone you love them today, because we don't know what tomorrow will bring.

Good morning Rhonda and California,

Well I made it through the first day back from vacation.  It is so hard to get back into the routine after a week of being a slug.  Someday, when I get to retire, I will certainly enjoy not having to be somewhere everyday.  I can just do what I want, when I want.  Ahhhh dreams for the future.  Unfortunately, it's reality today and I must work.  Yuck.  Oh well, at least I have a job.

This week I'm trying to take it easy after work so I can get back into my routine.  No plans except for Thursday night when we have bowling.  We have a busy weekend though.  I think we are going to go to Route 66 Rendevous on Friday night, then Saturday all day is my tax class and dinner with my son after and Sunday we might meet some friends at the LA County Fair.  Busy, busy, but mostly fun stuff.  Except for the class.  That is draining.  It's my own fault though.  I didn't take my required CPE and now I have to get my 60 hours in before the end of the year for my license.  So it's every Saturday for me until the end of November; just in time to recoup and get ready for tax season.  Oh joy!!! 

Well guess I better get busy here.  My desk was quite piled up when I got back and today is the deadline for corporate and partnership tax returns.  I just have a few to get done.  I had everything else done before I left and what I have now came in while I was out.  Most of the preliminary work was done for me, now I just have to review it all and get it over to admin for assembly.  Let my day begin.

Good Morning All,

Well this morning is my interview to begin the process of becoming a certified wellness coach. I could not believe what is involved in obtaining this certification. Alot of A & P and socialogy etc...WOW. Its easier to become a certified personal trainer LOL.

For the rest of the week, its all about looking for work.........The continuing battle. You would think being an LVN there wouldnt be that big of an issue but been unsuccessful so far. Wish me luck

Hi all,

I am feeling discouraged today.  My inner muncher wants to take over. It seems like my brain wants me to eat every minute of the day sometimes.  When I don't have to work and I have free time, that inner muncher goes into hiding, but the second I am at work and back my crazy 2 hour round trip commute, work, and evening activities, my inner muncher is yelling at me. It's so obvious I use food for stress relief, anxiety, and boredom.  I am snacking now on dried edamame and luckily just a few fill me up, but I would prefer not to munch at all!!

I have boring work to do for the day.  I am taking a wake at noon because I am in more casual clothes and can get slightly stinky because I have no meetings!! Maybe that will give me a lift.

Tonight is my weekly eating disorders support group. I've belonged to this group for 8 or 9 years now. It's been a great experience and very helpful!!

Good Morning Miss Rhonda and Cali Crew!
This morning brought a visit to the vampire (aka the lab), I just passed 6 weeks out and the surgeon needs the required blood tests. They took 9 tubes! Geez! I have my follow-up appointment on Monday, Sept 21st., in San Deigo. Hey Becky! I'm coming down, pencil me in for an hour before work or I will stop by your work on my way home!
I am feeling pretty good physically and emotionally. I am excited about doing my first 5k for Hesperia days, this Saturday. My husband will be there to cheer me on.
Friday night, we might go to the Route 66 Rendevous in San Bernardino with my brother and nephew. Love to hear the bands and see all the old cars! Saturday brings the 5k and more fun. Sunday, we are supposed to meet my mom in San Dimas and go to the LA County Fair. That will make 3 times this season! I just love to walk around that place. Its a great way to get my exercise in! I am just so excited about being able to walk the fair this year and not having to ride in a scooter or wheelchair! Hell Yeah!
Now, I am definatly walking the 5k at the Long Beach Marathon. I am so looking forward to walking with new friends and making memories! I can do this!!  I hope if you are thinking of doing this, or any other 5k, that you at least try. You never know, unless you give yourself the chance to try.

Joe woke up at 5 this morning so that meant I that I got up at 5.  Grrrrr, that's an hour of sleep missing!

I'm having a marvelous day today.  I got help with all this paper on my desk and one gal took the biggest elephant on my desk and is working it!  OMG - it lets me clean up all these little things which were making a mountain out of a mole hill!  I am a happy animal.

I found a house / dog sitter for when Joe's gone

I checked out Barb's pictures from Hysterical Histeria and got quite a good chuckle to find out that I was there after all!  Ok, so I looked like a lushy pink flamingo, but wow!  I was there!  I sure hope I had a good time!

Off and running once again....................  Water's in, Vitamins done, just need to get to the gym and sign up for the new membership!
