Upadate and ? about Thrush infection

First of all thank you so much for all the support you have given me as it has kept me strong. I promise a better report on my surgery when I am feeling better but I just wanted to find out about my latest problem. I have a bad case of thrush. My throat and tongue are coated and very sore. Nothing tastes right and worst of all it irritates my gag reflex. The hardest things for me have been nausea and adverse reactions to all the pain meds that I was allowed.( My kidney damage restricts what I can use.) Let me tell ya, no one wants to have nausea and dry heaves with no pain meds!!! Whats worse is that the Nystatin mouthwash I just used causes stomach irritation and N & V. The paperwork with the medicine says I may have to use it for weeks or months. OMG Someone tell me this isn't true--PLEASE   I am also taking a good chewable probiotic that helped a little.
Again, I will report all the very good news as soon as I can sit at the computer a little longer--because there IS good news!
