A bright future (x-post)

Well, today I have turned a corner on my journey to good health and I am now walking on the sunny side of the street. I don’t know why I keep getting welcomed to the dark side. As I see it, I am on the bright side. In fact, my future seems so bright I should be wearing shades!

I came home from the hospital off of all my diabetes meds and insulin. My blood sugars are running under 250 with no treatment. The swelling that I have battled in my legs and feet is gone. Finally, the nausea is gone and the thrush disappeared. I have no problem getting in all my hydration. I have no appetite but am getting some protein in.  I am still unable to tolerate pain meds, but the pain is significantly reduced and, in fact, I was able to sleep on my side last night. My digestive system is much better than all of last week.  Yep, the future is looking bright!

But for the here and now, I am exhausted and back to bed for a nap.

I am glad to hear you are feeling better.  Remeber to take it one day at a time.  For me each day just gets better and better.
