Hey Jean and Cali gang.  I just love your avatar, Jean...your smile just brightens up the room ^_^

Not much new going on in my life right now...plugging away at work, maybe seeing the light at the end of the tunnel; running errands after work just to get back in time to watch a new season opener on TV and then fall asleep by 10:15.  Can't seem to make it much later than that..either in bed or in my recliner...just more comfortable to get up and use the bed LOL

This weekend is No Cal Luncheon...sooo looking forward to it and a new place to try out...MiMi's in Concord.  Did ya get that??  EVERYBODY is invited!!! hee hee

Have a great day..and pray for all the fire fighters...we are barely into the 'fire' season and they are already up to their necks in the thick of it :-(

Hi Cali Crew,

Diane and Stephanie, take care of yourself in regards to the smoke. Santa Cruz had a horrible fire and it was bad for two weeks. Even after the fire is out the smoke lingers. We kept all the windows closed and didn't go outside. It was awful. Next time, I am going to leave town if that happens again.

Tomorrow, I am taking my mom to her biopsy for another tumor they found on her CAT scan. I don't know how long we'll have to wait to get the diagnosis.  I am taking the whole day off from work to spend with her and my aunt and uncle who are coming along.  I am so not good at waiting for news.

My family from North Carolina is visiting for the week. I am enjoying their company very much.  It's too bad I have to work Saturday night instead of hanging out with them.

Heyya everyone! 

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.  It was so nice to meet everyone!  Today I've really struggled with wanting to eat an entire HOUSE!  That is what it feels like.  I know what it is.  I know what I need to do ... so I just thought I'd put it here in black and white and that way I am at least accountable for it.  

Me and feeling feelings are not on good terms.  So, I am having to learn to feel instead of FEED them.  So very hard to do.  The thought of that makes me wanna cry.  Anyway...

Good evening everyone!  It's been a hell of a week for me.................. but we're approaching the weekend!  YeeeeeeeeHaWWWWW!

I've been getting Joe ready to head off to Wyoming.  He leaves tomorrow for 3 weeks.  I will miss him but relish my "vacation" from him.  I have some projects planned, he has NOT locked up his power tools which is BAD for him because I tend to use them.  My guest room is getting a paint job, some corner shelf for the tv.

My maggie dog has a very special visitor here.  Buddy a beautiful male chocolate lab and top notch hunting dog is here.  Maggie's in heat so I sure hope we end up with some adorable puppies!

Anyway, another load of laundry to fold!

Once again I'm checking in late.  We drove out to Cathedral City today so I could go with my mother to her doctor's appointment.  She has osteoporosis and recently had a bone density test.  Her numbers have gotten worse so I wanted to be there to make sure she was place on a new medication, the correct type of calcium and other supplements.  Also, her nutritionist has been telling her just to do water walking.  I knew, from my studies and research that she needs to do some weight bearing exercise. 

Thank goodness the doctor listened to everything I had to say and changed her meds, told her to change to Citracal (the calcium she was taking was worthless) and he wants her to start walking, jumping and lifting weights.  I just hope she does it.

It was so hot out in Cathedral City and the air was awful from the fires.  I feel awful now.  My chest hurts.  My eyes are blurry and dry, and I'm coughing.  I was so happy to head home.

Working tomorrow, but not till the afternoon.
