Good Morning Miss Diane! What an awsome shout out this morning. I am really looking forward to seeing you again. I am so glad that you will be able to get out again!
Today, I have to get this house in order, thats easy enough as its a small place. I also have to get packed to go to my mom's tonight. Tomorrow brings the LB/SB/So Cal Coffee. I am really looking forward to that, because I am going with Michele and I get to see so many of the people that I really enjoy talking with, and just sharing the love and friendship! Sunday, brings more of the same with the High Desert Brunch! I just love the friends that I have met on OH! I was so blessed when I decided to join this site, I got so much more than support, I got friendships.

Good Morning Cali Crew!!

Woot!! Woot!! Happy Friday!!!

Lately I have just become a lurker. I am not sure why that is, but I think I need to start posting again. Jean is so true about the people on this board. There are so many wonderful people here, that are ALWAYS there for you. I, too have meet so many good friends. I am so excited for the get together tomorrow. I really enjoy seeing everyone and especially because we all are on the same journey to becoming healthier & happier. I think this bond is something that  "normal" people can't understand.

Well as far as today goes, it's just another Friday!! Yeah!! It seems like it took forever to get here! Not sure what I have planned for tonight, but I will be at the Coffee tomorrow.

Sat night should be fun, but I am a little disappointed in a friend of mine. We have been friends since high school and she used to be the thin girl. But she has put on a ton of weight and now I am the thin girl. I love her to death, but I am so TIRED of her ALWAYS cancelling on me whenever we make plans to go out. I know she suffers from depression, but seriously, this cancelling on me, is getting OLD! WTH???  I don't know if it is her lack of self esteem or her jealousy. When I was heavy and we would go out, I never pulled the same crap as she has been pulling on me. I am just at a cross road on whether to end this friendhi*****t. Anyone have any advice for me?

Jules, Honey, don't give up on your friend! If it is depression giving up on here right now would only hurt both of you... When I first became disabled I HAD a friend of 27 years that said " I was just being "ornery" and she just couldn't under why I just didn't drink cranberry juice and get over the Interstitial Cystitis!!First Cranberry juice is one of the worse things to drink for this disease, due to the acid!!! I gave her all the web sites possible for her to learn and understand the hell I was going Through but to no avail...she just thought I was being mean spirited...What never crossed her mind was I was one step closer to death than anyone should. I loved her like family but ...that was then and this is now. I she has been a True friend in the past then try to save it but is she as only been a fair weather friend...cut her loose and get on with new friends! I really shouldn't give advise when I am down in the dumps...I babble on and on and on.....
You have done great so just post more and hang around with this great bunch!!

Great Shout out Diane!  Just missed 1 other important event...No Cali Luncheon in Concord for all of us Northerns who can't make Seal Beach LOL

I will also Second the Motion: T-G-I-F!!!!!  And tomorrow will be even better ^-^ 
Took my car into the shop for 5K maintenance and a couple of 'manufacturer defect' repairs...good excuse to leave early when it's ready...start my weekend just a little bit ahead of schedule LOL  Tonight nothing much on tap..Lon has a carving class to teach tomorrow and I'll be heading to Concord for lunch.  If I'm lucky, I'll get some computer-training from Barb afterwards ;-)

Sunday is totally out in the open...no idea what we plan to do.  I think sleeping past 5am might be a good idea! Grrrr  What the heck is that all about?  I use to think you guys were all crazy for being up so early; now, I realize it might not be by choice!  I use to be a nite person..up all hours and hated getting up in the am...now it's all @## backwards...I fall asleep by 9:30 and wake by 5am...this getting OLD is NOT FUN :-(

Oh well, atleast I'm still breathing and every morning gives me another chance...at what I'm not sure LOL  Oh, maybe I'll actually tackle that basket weaving/twineing thingy this weekend ROTFL

What a wonderful post this morning for TGIF.

Today brings nothing special for me except laundry tonight.  So looking forward to the coffee gathering tomorrow in Seal Beach.  After that I need to get busy cleaning my house as Michelle T is coming to stay with me for the LB Marathon and I sure don't want her to see my house in the dissaray it is in.  Need to do some shopping for my daughters birthday next week and if I am not successful with the clothing exchange tomorrow, guess I will need to do some shopping for myself as well.   

JEAN - Why don't we just use the name "So Cal Coffee" given to me by Ms Shell since the name badges are made this way.  We have people from near and far that attend and we are in So Cal, so what do you think?

DIANE - Looking forward to seeing you at the coffee.

MONICA - What is the cost of tickets for the PS scar show?

RHONDA - I promise not to give you a new husband anytime soon.

GUS - I haven't met you yet, but everyone seems to want you at this coffee tomorrow, so can you go dancing until 2 am instead of 4 am so you can join us and meet all of us newbies?

LB MARATHON PARTICIPANTS - We need to come up with a place to meet on Saturday afternoon/evening for dinner or a gathering.  When is everyone picking up their race items?

JACKIE - So nice to see you posting again.

MICHELLE - I love reading what you write in your post reply's.  You are very sincere, and encouraging.

Glad to see that people are getting hired.  So many of us are praying for you and everyone looking for work. 

An outing to Price is Right arranged by Belen is going to be a blast.

I know there are many, many people I can put a shout out to, but just know that I am proud of you all in your WLS journey.  I ditto what Jean mentioned in her post and have to admit, I DO NOT go to support group meetings (they bore me to death).  The OH boards, the California Forum is just absolutlety the best. 

Well, back to work, please keep the firefighters in your thoughts and prayers, it is hot enough working a fire, and now the added extra heat is sure to be much more exhausting.  For those of you in the fire areas, I hope you have AC and can stay inside to help protect your lungs.
