Happy Saturday!

Good Morning to All!  I have absolutely no clue as to why I am awake at this horrible hour!  But, I am. 

To all of those going to the Long Beach Coffee in the new location - Hugs!  Wish I could be there, but I can't.  I'm dealing with a wet wet mess.  The wet has even spread to walls in the garage!  Ugh.

Northern Cali Get Together - I'll be there in spirit!

The laminate is gone and today and Monday they come and scrape all the linoleum out and cutting out the wet soggy walls and cabinet bottoms.  Then, while I am waiting for the return of my carpenter and the arrival of the insurance check, I'll go shopping for tile.  Joe wanted to put laminate back in and that is totally just not going to happen.  It was only in there for 5 years and while it looked nice, the upkeep was horrid.  It showed every spot, dirt grain and drool mark.  I'm looking for a dark country tile so.

Today brings me a nail appointment at 9:30, then off to a suprise birthday party and a trip to the Home and Garden show. 

Remember to take your vitamins, drink your water and shake your booty just a bit today!

Thanks!  Going to concentrate on the fun surrounded by the wet soggy mess and try to not think of it!  That's why I have insurance - so they'll pay these guys to come clean up the mess, get rid of the stuff that might mold.  I'll concentrate on the fun of selecting new flooring! 

And, I just might take you up on that offer!

Mo...I missed something while out living my life (LOL)...what happened to cause the soggy mess?  YOu have a flood or something?

I hear ya on the laminate....we replaced our kitchen lenoleum with pergo-type flooring. OMG...not only does it look wonderful...it is sooooo easy to keep clean.

TG for homeowner's insurance!  Have fun picking out tile....that was really fun when I re-did our shower ^_^

The water line going to our ice maker became dislodged sometime prior to last Thursday.  Every time the ice maker cycled on the water hit the wall and went down and seeped under the laminate.  By the time we discovered it, it had spread everywhere and the floor was warping.  It's an ugly mess.  I'm taking tomorrow off because the work crew will be here to scrape the lino out and cut out the soggy drywall.  I've got it narrowed down to real hardwood in a Gunstock but I'm still looking at tile. 

Now, I gotta figure out why the damn home phone won't work.  All I get is an open line............grrrrr.  Wish the old man was here to fix some of this stuff!
