Sunday Sunday! I love it and I Hate it!

I love it as it is a day of rest and relaxation, I hate it becuase it makes tomorrow Monday!    I have had such a wonderful weekend.  Yesterday was just the best day ever.  Coffee with great friends, Lunch with great friends, chatting and the best pita chip you every had on this earth with friends.  We went wild and went shopping!  I almost got a tatoo!  We went to dinner, I got my white pants back from Diane, and I did not even let her steal my pie that she had her eyes on the whole time in the car!  What a wonderful day!  I even got new hair!  How funny is that?  I gotta return it in a few weeks, but I still got new hair.  What a great group the Long Beach ladies are!  Di really surprized me yesterday with her events she had planned for me and I had a blast.  I was soooo pooped when I got home though.  I wanted to pull the car over and go to sleep in the back!  But I could not as I got so many clothes and shoes (OMG BECKY!)  I think I got like 47 pairs or something.  I thing that constitutes as a shoe *****  Oh My!  I have a cross addiction, HELP ME! PLEASE I NEED AN INTERVENTION!  SHOES ARE TAKING OVER MY CLOSET!

Good morning Rhonda and Cali,

Yesterday was a great day, Nor cal lunch and then we ran off to San Francisco. I was so hot after lunch we decided to go someplace cooler than our house. Yeah I did not have to cook lunch or dinner.

Today is church and then another trip to the city,  My FIL is expecting us to day to take him to lunch (he is 90) and loves to go to lunch on Sunday.  We try to rotate so no one is stuck every Sunday with a commitment.  Of course there are two of us who usually get all the duty (the other two are always MIA).

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali,

What a day yesterday was.  My child decided to fall asleep at 7:30 friday night only to wake up a little before midnight and not go back to sleep until 5am.  Then on the way to coffee I discovered my wallet wasn't in the car where I keep it.  After pulling over and frantically searching I drove back home and finally found it where my child had thrown it in the back of the car.  So we were off again and I circled the parking lot like a fool not seeing the starbucks and getting more frustrated.

In the end we got there and had a chance to see friends old and new.  I also got some nice dudes including a pair of 18.  OMG a size with a 1.  Now they fit (very stretchy) but wouldn't wear them out of the house yet but hey I'm getting there.

Today is mom's birthday and so we camped out at her house last night and we are going to lunch today with my nephew.  The best part is we have no school tomorrow because it's unassigned day (Yom Kippur).  So glad for the 3 day weekend as I am tired and fighting off a cold.

Today WAS an awsome day here too.  I did some organizing in my back room, went to a suprise party for a lady at work.  It wasn't a birthday party or anything like that, it was a Just Because You Are party.  She is always there for everyone, and does so much.  Well, we pulled it off fantastically.  Then my friend Brandi and I went to the Home and Garden show.  It was pathetic.

I went floor shopping a bit too.  Thinking of going hardwood in my kitchen.  It's awsome! 

Today I am going to finish organizing my back craft room.  I bought 50 of the shoe box organizing boxes (clearance for $2.50 a pack of 5)

I am even going take a 2 mile or more walk this morning.  So, everyone remember to take your vitamins, drink your water and shake your bootay!
 

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali friends,

Rhonda, sounds like you had a fantastic day yesterday and shoes and clothes, a brand new wardrobe eh?  I got a bunch of sweaters and tops yesterday at our luncheon too.

I was a little like a tornedo yesterday getting little projects done that have been hovering over my head, including laying a little sod down in the backyard where Ron has taken out some cement.  It looks really nice now.  I also re-seeded some spots in the front where the water doesn't cover it so well, so with a little TLC and hopefully a little winter rain, it will be nice again.  I got some sewing done of a couple things, and cleaning out of a catch all place in my kitchen.  I think we stopped at around 8pm and finally had dinner!  LOL

Today, nothing really planned other than watching football.  My in laws are coming for dinner and because of the heat, it's going to be something cool like BLT's and salad.

Then it's back to work tomorrow and I think I will get to move my office finally tomorrow I have a clear day.

Well, I hope everyone has a fantastic day and do something nice for yourself.

Such a fun day yesterday.... i'm still finishing the leftovers from brunch...YUM...

Had fun going on a spending spree with the remainder of my Flexpay card...any of you folks do one of those things?? If you don't spend it all by 9/30, you LOSE all that you put aside...so, dude, if there's any kind of medical emergency, come to my house! I'm all stocked up with the essentials... even got a few bags of goodies for my momma and poppa gonna take to them today...

It's still foggy and overcast here in LB...hoping for a day soon when this weather will stick ALL day....so far, it tends to burn off before noon and then we bake...

Good Sleepy Morning Cali!

Had too much fun yesterday.  It was wonderful seeing so many people at the So Cal Coffee (formerly LB Coffee) yesterday!  I have posted pics (if I did it right you can actually view them, lol!)

Not too much planned today.  Trying not to think about chores, lol!

Good Morning Cali,

I never have a day of R & R.  Yesterday was a blast, love, love, love the new location.  My husband even joined me which was nice.  I asked him on the way home what he thought and he had nothing but nice, things to say about the group.  His biggest compliment to the group was:
"It is so nice to be surrounded by people who are so positive and happy".  He enjoyed meeting and talking with Lisa, LIsa, Jackie, Michelle T., Jean and Curry.  Curry, and Naomi he wants me to get the dresses you wore yesterday as he loved them.

Rhonda I offered you my husband yesterday if you wanted him, I figured I have you all screwed up now whats another  : )

I was unable to find any clothes yesterday (boo hoo hoo) guess i'll go to Kohls today and see what I find.  Need to go buy something for my daughters birthday any how.

I am so happy everyone liked the Name Badges.  Many of you offered to give me something for them and NO, NO, NO.  I did this because I have them at home, and I like doing this kind of stuff.  Just remember to bring them to every coffee as I know that I don't know everyones name yet.

As for the LB Marathon Pre-Meet Up we did not discuss this but, I believe Jean wants to meet at the El Dorado so count Michelle T. and myself in.  We just need a time. 

Monica P gave us a viewing of PS scars and wow, very nice job done, still scares the beejibees out of me.

Ms. Shell - You have your PS on Thursday (?), girl you are in my thoughts and prayers, please keep us posted and looking forward to seeing you in November.  I'll sell tickets for your PS scar viewing if you like.

As for today, we are pooped from cleaning the house yesterday.  My DH took my stove apart and gave it a good scrubbing.  It is at least 20 yrs. old, I need a new one, but I also need money HA HA.

Went for a walk this morning was hoping for 3 miles as I had already mapped it out and everything.  DH wanted to go, so I waited for him to have a cup of coffee.  He walks slow so needless to say, we only did 1.75 miles and I decided to come home, because walking slow is like walking through the mall (I hate the mall and I hate shopping) and it just kills my back.  So the 1.75 miles took us 45 minutes.  I love my DH to death but he really holds me back while walking because I want to step up the pace.  Oh well, at least I went walking and he went with me. 

Chow for now, need to go boil my ribs so we can BBQ later.

It sounds like the SoCal meet up was a success! I loved the opportunity to see photos of all of you. Maybe someday I will plan a trip down there for one of the coffees.  How about a coffee and Disneyland???

Rhonda, I need a 12 step program for shoes too. I don't know what it is. My father helped me move once and called me Imelda Marcos. Thanks Dad!

Things are hectic on my end. My mom needs surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.  It's actually going to break through her abdomen if she doesn't get it removed. She calls the tumor her evil twin. I will have to take family leave to be with her after the surgery. I am not a great caretaker. I am not patient enough, nor do I seem to have the instincts for it, but I'll just do my best.

After hitting a 3 week stall in the weight loss, I seem to be back losing again despite now time for exercise and working 12 hour days.  That has helped my mood. 

I am dreading my work week starting again just because I've had a great weekend.

I am glad everyone had a good time at the coffee's and luncheon.  I am going to try and make the NorCal one next month. 

I spent the morning with my grandchildren.  DIL was sick and wanted to go to Urgent Care first thing so she dropped them off on her way.  They left about noon.  I have missed them this last month.  I start taking my turn with them again this week.  I had so much fun with them.  My granddaughter has her 2 bottom teeth now.  She grab my finger and bit me!  They are so cute though.  She is 5 months old.  My grandson just talked my ear off and I loved every moment of it.  Now I think I will take a nap!
