Good Morning Lu and Cali Crew,

Congratulations to your nephew! I am a Marine Corp brat. My dad did his training there. 1st Marine Division, "Echo" Company. My cousin also was there and got married near there. Now he works at the Pentegon. Please tell him congratulations and thank you.
Boy, have the winds been blowing up here! Luckily I don't have sinus issues, nor am I getting that pesky cold that seems to be going around. (knock on wood!) . I have a few adventures planned today and then back to the grindstone, ugh!  Lol! I am actually feeling really good today. Had a great time talking to a friend and her sister, last night. They made me laugh so much, my dogs thought I was batty! Well, we were on facebook, farming and chatting so it was quiet at my place. Until one or the other would say something funny and then I'd start laughin outloud. The dogs would wake up, **** their heads and look at me. Like to say "What are you waking me up for..." Lol!
I hope everyone has a wonderful "Toe Tapping Tuesday"!
Hugs, love, & friendship,

Michelle T.

Morning Lu and Cali gang
Not much going on for me today but wanted to jump in early (for once!) and say Good Morning Cali!

Just finishing up end of month stuff before the pressure is on again to produce month end books for the boss.  Didn't make it to group last nite; decided to play hookie and watch Dancing with the Stars with hubby.  While some wives become football widows, I become a Dancing with the Stars widow LOL  Was the same way when the Olympics were on...he doens't go anywhere unless he can get back in time for the shows.  I even went on a carving campout by myself!  It was the weekend of the closing ceremonies and he didn't want to miss them LOL  But sometimes it good to go separate directions...refreshes the relationship when you come back together ^_^

Well, it's going to be a Great Day...the boss just sent a message that he is going straight to his out of town meeting and won't be coming into the  office after all! yeahhhh!!!  No interruptions and I can get my work done!! LOL  Sure looks like rain outside but weatherman says just clouds and wind...we shall see...he HAS been known to get it wrong

Have a great day everyone....drink your water, get those vitamins in and remember to MOVE to LOSE! ^_^

Good morning "again" GF....

Not much going on here in old San Berdoo.  Well probably because I'm not at home and at work in Redlands which would be why there is nothing going on the "da hood".  Geesh, I need to move.  LOL

Last night was a quiet evening at home.  Some dinner, some TV and then my attempt at sleep.  I think I could actually sleep ok, if my stupid hip didn't keep waking me up.  I'm ok when I'm moving, well as ok as I'm going to be.  But when I lie down for any length of time, the pain is just horrible.  When I sit for a long time also and then get up, it takes me a bit to even get my balance.  I'm going to have to break down I think and do something about it.  Or then again, not.  I know, I know, I've got my head in the sand and want to pretend that if I ignore it long enough it will go away. Well, it might.

Hey Lu, is it time for us to take a trip again.  We've done Vegas.  What's next.  Maybe San Diego?

Ok, back to work for me. Everyone have a terrific Toe Tapping Tuesday and remember, do something wonderful just for yourself.

Good Morning Lu and the Cali Crowd!

Today brings us cooler weather, slightly overcast and a slight chance of rain later.  Wow.

I am waiting for the clean-up crew to come finish up what they have to finish and take the rest of this crap and equipment out of my kitchen so I can get back to my life.  It's a huge pain in the butt because to get anything out of the kitchen or the refrigerator I have to go out the front door, through the garage and into the kitchen.

Once they're done then I have to concentrate on what flooring I want and wait for the insurance check to show up.

I will actually have to go back to work tomorrow.

A girlfriend and I walked 5 miles last night on the river trail and we're going to do it again tonight.  It's such a good walk!  I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a nap in there somewhere today.  The smoke alarm went off twice last night.  It does this every year when the weather changes and the wind blows.  Weird.  I'll keep it down for a day or two and put it back up again.

Off to shower..........

Good Morning Lu,

So good to see you posting this morning.  You are so missed.

Nothing going on here, I can relate to Janell on house arrest,  I can't walk, I can't drive, that is the doctors rule.  I still have my nurse coming in everyday to change and clean my open wound, then pack it with gauze and saline and cover it up again.  Dougie was my nurse this weekend.  I tried to buy him a leather outsit at the sex shop, but he refused, guess he will only go as far as wearing that wig the Naomi posted a picture of and that's all.

Other than that nothing much going on.  I think I may be having company this weekend, will be fun to see people.  I try so hard to do something on the weekends.  Poor Dougie works too hard and I like him to try and do fun stuff on the weekends.  He gets bored watching tv all the time.  Of course Sunday is NASCAR, so I am never board.  I am hoping Martin wins the cup this year.  He is in position too, but they still have 7 or 8 weeks to go.

I hope you are well Lu.  Need directions in SD let me know, I practically live down there.  Been travelling down there for over 40 years and the streets are my playground.

Love to all, Diane

Good Morning Cali,

Dang, I missed you guys.

Lu- congrats to your nephew's graduation.  Please tell him I said , "Thank you for serving our country."

Just been the market for a car.  I cannot afford new, so it has to be used.  There are so many "junk" cars out there. Sigh...

Have a great day.

Kim

Hi Lu and the Cali Crew,

Kim, good luck with finding a nice reliable used car. I hope you can find one you have confidence in!!

Lu, congrats to your nephew!!  Like many have requested here, thank him for serving our country.

Diane, I think Doug should take your advice on the leather!! He should wear the wig and the leather at the same time!!

My mom is going to have surgery somtime soon to remove a cancerous tumor that has been growing rather agressively. I'll be taking a lot of time off to take care of her and other things. The doctor thinks it will be a rather simple surgery. I sure hope so!

I am annoyed and can't seem to get out of my bad mood. I was expecting to have Columbus day off like we do every year, but the big boss of the California legislature took that holiday away from us. Unlike other state workers, we don't have the same worker protections and union contracts so two weeks before a holiday, they can just yank it away from us. I was hoping it would be an extra day for me to be with my mom and just dealing with life through her surgery. Oh $@!## well.

Take Care all!!

Hey Lu and Cali Crew...I know I have been MIA lately but There is just to much to do around here and now that the weather has cooled down Yes I love fall I think it is my very favorite time of year. I am able to get so much more done in cooler weather. However!! My chest is still very very sore and Dr says it will be for  a few more weeks!! It has to get better soon cause I can't travel taking this much medication and drive to Henderson to help with the family while my DIL goes through radiation for the breast cancer.

Now for some thing really cool to share with everyone...My Grandson Joseph graduated high school in May and turned 18 in June. He is doing EMT training and take class at the collage to become a fireman. He was doing some of his EMT training at the NASCAR RACE in Vegas when a man collapsed, stopped breathing and turned blue...Joseph saved the man's life!!!!!!! We are so proud of this kid,. His trainer said he has never seen a kid his age stay so cool, calm, and collected during the whole thing. It was as if he had been doing it for years.Yes, you can say I am a very proud Nana.

Oh, and something else!! I finally broke down a bought a new sewing machine. It is all computerize and has so many cool things that it can do. The first day I think I went through a whole spool of thread just playing with all the gadgets on the thing!!!

Well, I have to get busy again while I am still awake and if I sit here too long I will start nodding off!

HUGS
JOY

P.S. Nancy, I love the new Avatar you are looking wonderful!

Thanks Joy..really appreciate the vote of confidence LOL  BTW...I'm trying to talk Lon into taking a long weekend and head down toward Yosemite. There's a 1000 Trails park nearby (can't think of the highway off the top of my head...120?)...maybe we'll catch you free?  Would be so neat to meet you in person!!
Glad to hear you are doing better with the chest injury...I still OUCH!  And congrats to the grandson, EMT...what a way to show he knows his stuff! That boy definitely has a future ahead of him ^_^
Talk at ya soon
