Foamies / Dumping

OMG - I think I am dumping for the first time.

I must have eaten too fast or too much (a little of both I guess) cause I am sitting at my desk with the foamies along with some other gross crap.

How long does this usually last?  Is getting the foamies common for RNY patients?
I despise barfing, but since the scale hasn't moved in a week, this could be a plus (! / ?)

Now I am getting a headache and I still have an hour left at the office not to mention a little running around to do after work.

Maybe something is stuck?  It does not feel like it though.  My esophagus and pouch feel extremely full and heart beat is a beat, beat, beating faster.    Someone told me a while back if something was stuck to just take a sip of some diet soda as this will open the entry to the stomach for the food to pass ???  Yeah, I questioned this myself, but in a way it makes sense.  Not like I am going to gulp an entire soda.  Ahhh, but no one here at the office except me and I don't want to waste an entire soda on a sip.

Hope this passes quickly, I don't like this feeling.

I think I barf every other day or every 3rd day on something so I understand.  Its getting old.

Praying for it to pass quickly for you!  Wish I had good advice but just wanted to say I hope you feel better very soon and big hugs!

Annette,

Sorry you are felling "pukey".  If you can get up and walk around for a bit, that sometimes helps to get the food moving in a downward direction.  Just sitting and waiting for it to pass will make you feel worse.  Even if it's just in your office, get up and move.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Jackie & Stephanie,

I know it will pass, and I am headed out the door now, so once I get to the mall to run a couple of errands, I am sure it will pass.  Now I just feel blah, with no puking for about 1/2 and hour, but I know that can change.

I need to drink something, but am afraid this will kind of make things worse.  I think maybe I will wait until I get home.

Thanks again.

Papaya enzyme( at your local drug store) chew 3 or4 of them and it will help whatever it is pass fasted. I would say NOT to drink any soda(you know you should have that stuff... period!)You should be feeling better by the time you get home.
