Nor Cal VSG Surgeon Suggestions Please

I'm looking at researching local VSG surgeons.  I'd really appreciate getting some input from those who have had firsthand experience with them.  Please let me know who you went to and how they were/are.   I'm going to start making some "interview" appointments in the next month or so.

Just a little background, Kaiser Fremont has approved me for RNY but I want VSG, so I'm doing it as a self pay.

Hi CalGal, I wish I could help, however, I had the RNY through Kaiser with Dr. Zorn at Pacific Bariatrics in San Diego.  They are a great group of surgeons.  I hope you receive responses to this post because it is important to research and obtain ideas, knowledge and experience from others that have had or will have the VSG.

I would look into Dr. Cirangle in San Francisco. He did my RNY and he had lots of experience with VSG too. I was very confident with his skill as a surgeon. I wanted vSG too, but didn't want to self-pay.

Odd I am with the same insurance and they are covering my VSG. I wish you the best of luck but I am not in Nor Cal. I am in So. Cal.
