I was scared and excited at the same time. I cried like a baby.. hoping that I wouldn't be punished by death for opting to do something to help me lose over a hundred pounds of excess weight that I lugged around like a samsonite! It was also the funeral for John Ott who had lost his life... it was a traumatic sad day.. but a beginning for me.

Today I have kept a hundred pounds off. I have gained 30. My primary took me off my thyroid meds the day before surgery and has never given them back to me. Says my labs are fine. ?? I still don't eat sugar. I was eating aspartame in alot of diet products. I have stopped doing that and lost 12lbs in the last two months. I don't excercise like I should, at least not formal excercise. I am active, however. I eat too many carbs. I had once limited myself to less than 50 and have probably 100 a day. I eat protein first and sometimes I think I can eat too much. I haven't been perfect in this, but I feel great. I do!!~ my husband and I of 13 years went through the gamut.. as some do and have come out stronger, happier and living this roller coaster ride with gusto. I have iron issues, but i had them before surgery.. I have blood sugar issues.. because I don't leave the carbs alone..but I am much healthier than I was 4 years ago. I take iron, calcium, vitamin c, b12, and protein supplements every day.

I have had breast reconstruction, that my husband loves! I have approval for an abdominoplasty and will have that done before the end of the year..

I just got my cast removed off my wrist because I went tubing down a treacherous river with my 20 something children ( all big strong boys) I slipped and fell and broke my wrist, not because I was obese, but because their was algae on the rocks in the river, that i would NEVER have attempted to do 4 years ago. I am getting my private pilots license. Wouldn't have fit in the ****pit before. I have flown all over the country..again, wouldn't have fit. I go tubing all summer long, camping, fishing, dancing twice a month with friends half my age. I feel great, for those of you ready to crossover... welcome. The water is fine...

Would I do it again? I would...wholeheartedly!! I am thankful so thankful! God Bless!
