I was just looking at an OH sister's photos on her profile and there was one of her wearing a white top;
the look on her face was so happy and brave!
It got me to remembering...

No matter how fat I was I never hid behind black in clothing.  I wear more black now thinner than before.  Colors are my personaity, not my body type.

I like color.  I think I look better in colors than black.  My DIL is thin and beautiful and she likes to wear alot of black and I tell her add some color sweatheart!  But she just prefers black, white, and gray.

It's interesting that some responses to my blog post seem to assume that because I stayed away from white I wore mostly black. Not so! I just stayed away from light colored pants.
Will say that growing up in Manhattan & working as an advertising copywriter & magazine editor, black was our dominant canvas against which colors were accented...
The skinny girls would show off their "Winter Whites" and look stunning, though.

 I wear dark colors, no pastals...not for any other reason but I look terrible in pale colors.... I am alredy too pale, I don't need to add more of it!! Give me reds and greens and blue (turquiose yes) NO white,no gray, unless I am sleeping in it and then I don't care cause I am not seeing it nor is anyone else!! LOL I like black cause it looks good on most of us red heads.

You are NOT too pale, girlfriend. Red hair & alabaster skin set off by jet black, ruby red, emerald green, turquoise & royal purple - gorgeous!
