I am 10 months post op.  Some days I feel like I can eat so much and other days my pouch feels so tight.  My worst fear is stretching the pouch.  The days when I can eat a lot scare me.

Greetings,

I have the same issue at times. You just have to remember your limits and keep it within those parameters. Our pouches do increase over time and is natural. Just keep focussed and we all will do great.

Have a great day..........Rick

I am 4 months post op and find my pouch has the ability to hold more when I am PMSing. I was like that though before surgery where my brain didn't register the regular amount of food I ate.  I think sticking with the amounts suggested by your nutritionist and listening to your body are both important. The second I feel full, I stop. It just doesn't make sense to go past that point. If you're eating slowly, chewing each bite many times, I think you'll get the full message. If that isn't working, go for the amounts then.

I sometimes get freaked out too when I feel I can eat more and think I won't have any self control, but I've found my freak outs weren't justified.

The days you eat more, do you find that the food you are eating is softer, because I found that when I do the same thing, I've noticed that when I do that that the food I am eating is softer so it seems like alot more. I just work hard to remember this great gift I got when I had surgery.
