Good Monday Morning!

Well lets try this again!  I typed a great morning post and the computer ate it or something!  What is up with everyone this week?  I have another super busy one.  Let's everyone pray for Heather as she was evacuated from the fires in Wrightwood. Last I heard they put Gel over her house to protect it from the fire.  So lets keep her in our prayers.  They also Called Doug in so lets pray that he stays safe.  Well I typed a great morning post and it is lost, but I gotta go now.  Have a super day and enjoy,  Do something nice for you today.

Prayers and good thoughts coming down state for Heather and Doug, please keep us posted on how both are doing. 

I missed you over the weekend Ms. Rhonda, I hope you were having fun with the family.  Please give them all a huge hug for me and tell them I love them all, including my 4 legged friends too!

Just work on tap this week, I am getting my hair done tomorrow night so that will be relaxing.

Yesterday Isla and I ran to Joanne's and I bought fleece to make Ron a Cal throw for Christmas!  So I have started the dreaded Christmas shopping chore officially.  My goal is to be done by Thanksgiving this year.  A few of the family members have mutually decided to stop exchanging gifts due to the economy and job situations and give locally to charities or just buy for the kids, so the list is much smaller this year.  I like the giving to charity idea, and try to do that anyway as I get more in the spirit that way.

Well, I best get headed for the shower, hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Barb!

I missed you too!  I ran away from home for the weekend!  It was wonderful to get  away I really needed it!  I am getting to do the same thing, well sort of this coming weekend as I am doing the 1/2 marathon.  That should be wonderful!  Are you stititng down?  I have completed my Christmas shopping this year!  I went two weeks ago and got it all and I got the last gift this weekend.  I am done.  We are going very light this year as the funds are just not there like they were before.  But neather the less the children will have a great Christmas.  It will be fun for them.  Now I wont have to run around shopping I will just stay home and bake cookies and do gingerbread houses and all the fun stuff.  It will be great.  Have a super day.

I am glad you were doing something fun this weekend and you enjoyed!  OK, I'm jealous, you got all your shopping done?  Wow you are the energizer bunny.  That's fantastic!  I love to decorate and bake during the holidays.  I usually cook for both Thanksgiving and Christmas but that's fine with me I love it.

I spoke to Heather last night. They were part of the mandatory evacuation. She was at the Victorville Fairgrounds. I will talk with her again today. I am going to try to meet up with her. Her, Chris, and the boys are fine. Just waiting to hear when they will be allowed back home. I will keep everybody updated.

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali Crew!
What a weekend this was! It seemed I was busy all weekend! We must have put like 300 miles on the car. I had a fantastic time, though. I did things that I didn't think I would. I stepped out of my box again. I didn't let things get me down. I think I have gotten to a point in my life, to where I am not going to let situations or people have power over my feelings and how I deal with life. As a very dear friend of mine pointed out to me, we are given a brand new peice of canvas every day of our lives. We paint it or draw on it, make it whatever we want. The awsome thing is, that if we make a mistake, or something happens to that canvas, we are given another one the very next day. So I say, make your canvas beautiful everyday. Don't dwell on the past, you can't change it. Live, breathe, and sieze today!!
Today brings more business and running around. I am in countdown mode to this weekend. I am looking forward to spending the weekend with Annette and her family, as she has so graciously opened her home to me for the LB Marathon 5k walk. We are going to have a blast. This is what memories are made of! Gotta run! Have a super fantastic Monday, all!

Good Morning Rhonda and the Cali Crew!!

It sure is chilly this morning.  I had to get my jacket out and washed this weekend.  I am always freezing and it is just getting worse now.  Thank God for the heater under my desk.  It is keeping me toasty warm when everyone else runs the a/c. 

I had a pretty quiet weekend.  Spent some time with a friend on Friday and then just relaxed on Saturday.  Sunday was grocery shopping and church.  I also had the guy I am buying my car from come and look at it.  I replaced the starter in it and the darn thing still wouldn't start.  He couldn't figure it out either so he is having it towed down to his mechanic and see if they can figure it out.  I haven't paid for the car yet and I am not going to until it is fixed.  This is just so dissapointing because I am so tired of not having a car of my own.  I am praying that it can be fixed or God will supply a new one for me.

I need to get to work.  I have lots of trucks to move this morning.  Heather and Doug....you are in my prayers today.

I guess I am glad to be back to work this morning since my weekend consisted of a lot house work but it's all well.  This morning was quite cool for Cali weather but enjoying a relief from the heat.  Prayers of protections are going out for Heather and Doug.

sorry i've been mia i found out some pretty badnews,,, i have copd and i have no idea how bad it is yet.. they won't know until i'm over my cold...
i do have to say i am holding steady on my wieght so that's a good thing ... no eating for comfort for me ....

Good Morning Rhonda and everyone.

Lots of prayers going out to those in danger of the fire. I'm so glad it's so much cooler today.

I'm saying lots of prayers that today my stitches and drain come out. It was a painful weekend. The drain is driving me nuts! It happens to be right where my leg and torso join so every time I bend my leg it's a pain. I just want it out!!! My Dr appointment is at 1:45 today.  Hubby is working half day and then I think we're headed to the beach for lunch before the appointment. At least something fun comes out of all this.
