OT: Heather update
Unlike what was posted earlier, Heather is now on her way home. The evacuation has now been lifted. The engines are going home, most of them, and the fire is now 32 percent contained. I am so thankful for what these men and women do. If you ever want to do something nice for a firefighter, they all love homemade goodies, and bringing them gifts like that really can put a smile on their faces. Doug thanks you all for your prayers for him also. He loves what he does, that is why he has been in the fire service for 37 years.

Hi Diane! Thanx so much for the Heather update. She, like all the other evacuees and firefighters have been on my mind and in my prayers. Glad she is getting to go home and that the towm, for the most part, is out of danger. Please give Doug a big hug and kiss on the cheek for me. Miss you both. xoxoxo

Thanks Diane for the update on Heather. Happy to hear she is able to return home and that the fire is even more contained than what I heard on the news last nite ^_^ Our station showed some of the streets of the town of Wrightwood...really an old and very quaint town. Would love to visit it some day....I understand the history goes wayyyy back. Alot like our gold mining towns up here..Coloma, Columbia, Sutter Creek..etc.
A HUGE kudo's to Doug for all he does!! Our fire fighters will go anywhere, anytime, at the drop of a hat...they are just amazing ;-)
Hugs

Thank you for posting this, Diane. I heard from Heather around 12:30, but I was too busy to get on. I am just really glad they are finally going home. The humidity and the lack of winds really helped the firefighters do their jobs. I always believe in thanking the people in uniforms, whether its the military or public service. They are a huge help to all of us. It takes a special person to put others needs above their own. So please thank Doug for me, for all he does and has done. I hope your doctor appointments went well. I have nothing but respect for you. I look up to you, you have been a great friend. Thank you for being you. So loving and caring. Love to you and Doug!
