Thanks for the Prayers and Good Thoughts

Hi OHers,

Thanks for the prayers and kind thoughts. My mom's surgery was a success. They removed all the cancer and didn't find or feel anymore tumors. The surgeon was stunned by this and he couldn't believe her insides weren't "a mess" (his words) due to previous radiation treatment.  When I asked if this was a best case scenario he said "This was a super best case scenario". Yipee!!

Her recovery is a little rocky. Her blood pressure is low and she has extreme anemia. She's still in the ICU and felt lousy today. The doctor said it's typical post-surgery challenges and he expects her in a regular hospital room tomorrow.

Thanks again for your support!! Go Mom!!

Whoo-hoo! Yay, Mom! I am so happy for your mom! That is simply fantastic! The power of prayer and good thoughts really works. I am a firm believer. I know there are still a few more bump and dips in the road to recovery, but this is an awsome start. Hugs to you, my friend. I know you are filled with relief. Just remember to take care of yourself, so that you can help her. You are one heck of a daughter. Your mom is so lucky to have you, and you her.

Take care.
Hugs, friendship, and support always,

Michelle T.

I am so glad to hear that everything went well.  I know it is a load off your mind.  Hopefully she will be feeling better soon.

MsBlues, this is fantastic news!  I'll be honest, when you stated stage 4 uterine, I was afraid of the worse case scenerio :-(   I recently lost my niece to this particular type of cancer after 3 years of battles....so hopefully, you can imagine how wonderful I think your moms news is!

I agree with Michelle and Barb....God is Great!, Miracles Happen...and you and your mom have people you barely know praying their hearts out for her recovery ^_^  Hang in there, MsBlues....be strong and be good to yourself...the last thing you need right now is to wear yourself out.  You and your mom remain in my prayers!

HI all,

Thanks again for the kind words and continued prayers. I am sorry I haven't kept up my postings the past week or so, but I know you all understand. When she's home I'll be online more often.  I'll be at the hospital again tomorrow. She seems to improve each day.

Cheers,

MsBlues
