Northern California Peeps!

Hello everyone!  Well i have been on OH for a couple months now and didnt realize that there was this forum.....duh!  So I wanted to see if anyone was near or around Fremont, California.  I am still pre-op but would love to meet up with others and hear about their journey!  Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Welcome!  You bet we got people from the bay area, east bay and central and northern cali ^_^  We meet up usually every 3rd Saturday in Concord; this month we are actually meeting up at Apple Hill, Able's Apple Ranch for a fun 'road trip'.  Watch for a posting from 2Barb...she arranges the restaurant in Concord, currently MiMi's.

There are also a couple of other groups that meet...in Antioch and San Jose, I think.  Just keep reading the postings here...one of them will post upcoming dates.

You will find the California Forum to be a super group of people...very supportative, encouraging, and always willing to answer questions.  And besides that..we have alot of FUN!!!  Some wonderful friendships have been created by this group...and it doesn't matter where you live!  If you're a Cali peep...you are welcomed anywhere! ^_^

    I am also in your neck of the woods, and would like to welcome you and also invite you to meet with our support group, if you would be interested. The group is for people who have had the duodenal switch, are pre-op, or who are interested in learning more about it. While less well known than the RNY, the DS is an excellent form of wls.
     Our group will be meeting on Wednesday the 21st in San Jose from 6 - 8 pm. It's a small, friendly, and well informed group. If you have never considered the DS, or maybe never even heard of it before, that's ok - no time like the present to learn about it.
