My First Foamies! --- TMI warning

So the other night I had some chicken at my boyfriends house. I ate half a piece before I was full and put the rest in the fridge for later. Then yesterday I decided to have the other half of the piece and microwaved it to reheat it. It was much drier this time and I only ate 3/4 of it before I was full. For the next hour I was burping a good bit and then eventually I felt extra spit in my mouth. I went to the bathroom to spit it out and ended up vomiting a bit of fluid 3 times in succession. No acid taste or any food, just gagging and mucus. After that I felt a bit better though I was still a little burpy. This is the first time since my surgery that anything's ever disagreed with me so much. The experience wasn't too bad and I've learned my lesson about dry chicken :) Anyone else have similar experiences?

Hi Crystal,

I am so sorry you had foamies. I remember getting them on my first sugar-free chocolate pudding, and then again with an artichoke. I have never eaten fresh artichoke since, but pudding works fine. Our bodies are funny things. I hope you never have them again.
Lots of love and hugs, And your picture is sooooo cute!

Thanks Nancy :) It wasn't too bad really. I felt weird and gassy for a little while then the fluid came up and I felt much better. It's much better than other symptoms I've had such as digestive pain and unpleasant pooping. And at least I know exactly what caused it. With the digestive problems it could have been anything I've eaten in the past week or so. Sometimes I'm fine and sometimes I'm not. Very unpredictable.

but you'll live on to have a life as a skinny person, and it's amazing what we happily put up with to get thin and healthy. May happiness and good digestion be in your stars for the rest of the week...or month :o)

Oh yes, of course :) I'm not complaining at all really. Even having foamies it was sooo awesome watching my boyfriend and his friend and gf eat tater tots and pizza last night and being able to easily resist helping them finish the meal even when they begged me to.

TELL THEM TO STOP BEGGING YOU TO EAT! in a nice way, of course, BUT MAKE THEM STOP!!!

Oh I'm ok. I'm used to being offered food I don't want. They all know about my tiny tummy anyhow so they understood.

If I over eat even one bite I get the foamies and throw up.  I had scrambled eggs at Denny's the other night and they were so dry I ended up throwing them up too.  I hate to throw up!

yeah, foamies suck!!  I don't know if you'll ever try reheated chicken again; but when I reheat chicken, I use a really low power on the microwave.  I generally use a 30% power, and heat it up for a little longer, so the juices that are still in there, do not just evaporate.

just my $0.02
