Finally Friday! TGIF
Good morning California!
How is everyone out there doing? Well I was feeling icky yesterday and today is worse. If it does not hurt it does not work. Sad part is I have to work as no one does what I do and I don't have anyone to cover. But it is my light day so I am hoping it is not going to be too bad and at least I don't have to do a 4 hour hike as I know I could not today. I feel like a bus drove over me in my sleep and then a chicken crawled into my throat and had a fight with me. I think they call this the flu. Well who would have know, freezing one day and hot the next now wonder everyone is out sick. Well enough of that. My Becky went home yesterday after a few day stay and my house feels empty. She always makes me laugh and gives me such a hard time about everything and don't tell her but I love it when she does that. This weekend I think all my plans are changed because I have a feeling when I get home today I am going to pass out and die. So what are your plans this weekend? Something wonderful or relaxing, well that is kind of the same thing. Nancy and Barb, know that your families are in my prayers constantly. God has a plan for us all and when the time is right it will be revealed. I myself have been going through some trials lately, as hard as it has been I am trying to focus on his plan and not mine. His plan is "THE PLAN" so I need to just give it to him and get out of the way, and just pray. So that is what I am going to focus on this weekend as I re-cooperate from this ickyness sickyness I am coming down with fast and hard. Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali Friends,
Rhonda, you know I am praying for you and Gerry and sure do hope you're feeling better. Sounds like a homemade chicken soup weekend to me. Give our wonderful Foster family hugs from honorary auntie Barb and uncle Ron and tell them we love them. Bert is improving but Isla has reconciled that she cannot take care of him going forward due to his sporatic and rapid onsets of weakness and her back. God knows she tries, but just can't do it. Our wonderful Dr has discussed this with Bert and while he doesn't like it, he hears him. He has done a little halucinating and is showing more confusion lately (and he is not on any med which would cause this) so it lends more creedence that this is the right decision and now is the time to make a move for her safety and his. So we're praying that God makes this easy on all.
Happy TGIF!! I am SO glad it's Friday, it's been a heck of a week and it's whizzed by. Tomorrow my friend Linda who was Matron of Honor for Ron and I when we got married is coming over and we're gonna shop, shop, shop!!! We are also insane enough to do "shop 'til you drop day" on the day after Thanksgiving and it has been our tradition for the last 9 years! We're not super insane getting up at 3a,m. but we do have fun. We also do the craft fair weekend the first weekend in Dec. So we'll be cruising the stores and then will rally for dinner with the hubbies.
Sunday will bring dinner with Ron's mom and sister, so that will be fun.
Last night had a great rehearsal for band, played my favorite piece to play (at least it's in the top 10) of music, Elsa's Processional to the Cathedral by Wagner. Got a super sweet sax part in the upper register....sweet. Next concert if Dec 4th and we've got some good stuff but some work ahead of us.
Oh well, best get heading for the shower. I hope everyone has a great weekend ahead and that you do something nice for yourself.
Hugs,
Barb

Rhonda.....run to the Dr. and get a flu test. IF it really is the flu, there are med's that work wonders! When my son had swine flu in June.....withing 24 hours of starting the Tamiflu he was a new person!

Good morning Rhonda and Cali,
Yeah it is Friday! I love and hate short weeks. Trying to catch up from what you missed your days off.
My brother is still visiting us, his son has not come to pick him up so looks like a trip to Napa this weekend to drop him off.
I am only half a pound from my goal it is kind of scary! I think I will now try to hit the goal the nutritionist suggested of 130 and then it is all about maintenance. It has been a short journey so far, only four months. But, it will be a lifetime of great things to come.

Good Morning Everyone! TGIF!!
I am so excited for this weekend! I am doing the Children's Hospital of Orange County 5k walk at Disneyland on Sunday. I will be joined by Little Michele, some of her family, and my sister and her family. I am so amazed how far I have come, in such a short time. I am about 2 1/2 months out and this is already my 3rd 5k! I would have never attempted to do this even a year ago, and 2 years ago, my MS was so bad, that I was wheelchair bound. I thank God for this tool and I plan to work it! Today, I get to go down the hill and spend some time with very special friends. Tomorrow brings more of the same.
Remember Little Michele, has her surgery on Monday! She has been very busy, getting ready for it. I want to wish her fast healing and congratulations! Nancy, how is Briana doing? Barb, I'm sorry Bert is showing signs of dementia. I will pray for all of you.
I hope everybody has a wonderful relaxing weekend. To those that have to work this weekend, it will go by fast enough and your weekend will come soon enough.

Good Morning All! Whew.........after two weeks, I am actually feeling better which is a relief to me. Rhonda - get thyself to bed, drink chicken soup, and rest. Rest. Rest Rest.
This weekend brings lots and lots of mega fun for us. We pick Jayden up this afternoon. Fun activities we have to squeeze in include a trip to go watch Where The Wild Things Are, going to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out pumpkins, to shoot pumpkins from the cannon, ride the train, etc. We also have to make / buy his costume and all that fun kind of stuff.
We're headed to Discovery Kingdom next weekend on Sunday. Dad's going to try and talk mom into letting the kid come over AND miss a day of school on Sunday so he can go with the whole crowd and ride an elephant with MoMo!
For some stupid reason I woke up this morning at 4:30 (could it have been the *$(%&($*&% dog snoring in my ear???) and couldn't get back to sleep. Well, here it is at 7:42 in the morning and all I want to do is sleep. Dammmmmmit.
I have my new UGG boots on my feet and my toes are warm and happy. OMG they are worth every penny I spent on them as they are the absolute most comfortable shoes on the face of the earth and I don't think I ever want to wear any other pair of shoes ever. Wow.
Off and running and off to work. Get your vitamins in, Get your water in and don't forget to move a bit today!

Good Morning One and All....
FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY.... can we all say HOORAY!!! Tax season is officially over for 2008, 1/2 my midterm exam for tomorrow's class is already done, dinner with my son tomorrow night, walking around gun show for Mike on Sunday. A busy weekend, but it will be nice to be out and about and doing lots of things.
Had a great time at bowling last night. Our team mates are so much fun. I'm so glad we teamed up with them this year. I was really hating the whole bowling thing because I just wasn't having fun with our former team. This year is so much better. None of us bowls great and we are truly there for just a night out and some fun. We laugh from the minute we get there until it is time to leave. That is the way it should be.
Nothing else to report from here. Just get me to 5PM and I'll be a happy camper. Everyone have a great day, a great weekend and do something really really really special just for yourselves.

Good Morning,
I am so sorry that you are sick Rhonda, praying for a quick recovery. Sucks to be sick. I have tried to get sick, but it just isn't happening. I get a sore throat then I feel better, weirdest thing.
I have no plans for the weekend, at least right now, but you never know about what I end up doing. Sitting around would be good for me. Seems I have a little sugar problem going on now, my sugar is too low. Of course I didn't know it till the night before last when Doug had to call 911 because I was having chest pain, light, sweating like someone turned a hose on me, and he said the color of my skin looked bad. The medics got here and I was losing it, I thought I would pass out and I kept telling the guy who was taking a list of my meds, thank heavens it's only 4 now instead of 9, quickly what I took. I think it was my way of hanging on. Anyway, once they determined my sugar level was down to 50 they game me some sugar stuff through the IV, and before they got my fat butt into the ambulance, I felt good enough that I just wanted to stay home. OK fast forward, I am home, I stayed there for observations, they determined there was nothing wrong with my heart and I need to make sure I EAT! So funny, someone telling me to eat. I feel fine like nothing happened.
SECC, sorry that I didn't let you know sooner.
Well there is nothing to report. Dougie may be retiring sooner than expected, I keep telling him I don't want him to die at work and with the BS he gets everyday, who the hell needs it, I won't repeat what I tell him to tell his bosses.
Barb, I am so sorry that Bert is not doing better. The confusion, is this happening at different times of the day or just in the evening hours? MOMO, you are going to ride an Elephant? Did I really read that right? I know Gus is happy, every Friday I have never seen a person more happy that it is here, well maybe except me. I love Fridays, Doug comes home and there is no crap, just a nice friendly home to be in, a no drama zone! I can't remember what everyone wrote so sorry that I didn't get to write more, but then this is long anyways.
Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend,
Diane
