OK OK I am up Already but "ITS SATURDAY!"

I am here, I am up and I am sick.  All I know is that it is gross and I hate it.  My throat is on fire and I keep sneezing so my stomache hurts.  Does sneezing counf towards exersize, heck my muscles are sore from it.  I am going to count it regardless.  Well I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and doing fun things.  Me I am going to stay in my bed and play cafe world or farm town or ville or what ever and do nothing but that and sleep.  I want to hear aobut all your fun plans for the weekend.  I am having a wonderful time in my bed with my dog and computer and nothing else, and believe it or not I am happy that I get some down time!  Take care everyone and happy playing.

Good Morning Rhonda and crew!   Rhonda you stay in bed, and take care of yourself!  I have a date today with a cute 6 year old to go see Where the Wild Things are and to go to the pumpkin patch later and then we are going to get a costume.

For now tho I am snuggled up in my blankie watching the tube. 

Oh yeah, I did go hunting last night on the way to go pick up Jayden and got a nice forked deer,  So there's more venison for my freezer.  We'll be dealing with that here in a bit too.  Yummy venison!

OMG what do you do just pull over on the side of the road and shoot these things, or do you plan it as part of the trip?  I don't understand hunting so you will have to educate me my dear.  And what is a forked deer?  Is there something called a spoon dear or a plate deer?  Can you speak english for a city gal please.  lol.  I am going back to bed as soon as my kid wakes up and hooks my laptop up for me and then I can play my games.  lol

Darn it Rhonda, if you didn't live 8 hours from me, I'd be bringing you some homemade soup and get you feeling better!  Of course, I would be playing with the kids too!  I hope you feel better soon, it's hard to keep a wonderful woman down!

Today I feel like the Energizer Bunny and I have gotten so much stuff done already.  Today is my play day with my close friend Linda.  She was our Matron of Honor, she is an absolute hoot and we have a blast running together.  Tonight we will rally the hubby's at Olive Garden for dinner WHOO HOO.

Tomorrow brings putting up the Halloween yard art, yep I will post pics as it is way too cute.  This is our hobby, Ron cuts them out and I paint them and we LOVE it and so do our neighborhood families.  The kids love it the most because it's not too scary for the little ones.

Well, I hope everyone has a great day and do something nice for you.

Morning California!

Rhonda.......please stay in bed, rest, lots of fluids.  I didn't do this and I was sick for so long.  I kept saying I was going to stay in bed, but I'd get up and pack or clean and this thing hung on forever.  SO REST!!

Today brings running errands with Harley from my "to do before we move list".  Two weeks from today we'll be on the road to Washington and it feels like there's an endless pit of packing to do.  So I'm finishing my coffee and off and running.

Ok, pay close attention here dear while I 'splain it to you!  You paying attention Becky?  I live up here in GODS country where there is lots and lots of wooded area between any point A and any point B.  So any year during deer hunting "season" (mid august to the end of October) you can buy a license and TWO tags for deer.  These tags come in Zones.  I usually hunt in B zone which is between I5 and the coast.  So, on Jayden pick up days, we always plan a hunt.  We bust out the rifles and the tags and we take the back dirt roads from point A over to point B.  Dirt roads through the woods and through some rough country.  This is where the deer happen to like to be.  We look up hills, down hills and all around us.  When we spot the bucks (that would be the BOY deer with horns) we "stalk" them and try to get a good shot.  These deer must have at least two points on their horns on one side.  A forked horn has 2 points on each side.  A fork-spike has two on one side and one on the other.  A 3X3 has 3 on each side.  It is only legal to shoot male deer with at least 2 points on one side.

So here we are slowly winding our way through the woods and we spot a bunch down the hill.  He stops, I sneek out of the truck, jack a round into my rifle and pull up and fire.  It takes skill, patience and agility.  (then it takes lots of muscles and strength to get it back to the truck - or a really strong bald-man).

This is how we go deer hunting.  Sometimes we drive to the woods, put on our packs and go quietly hiking in through the woods.  Or we load up the quads and quad in quietly to the parts that are not accessible by truck.

Venison is a very lean very tasty meat.  Very high in Iron and protein.  We take off all the fat which is where you get a "gamey" taste to your meat.  We smack it with a meat hammer and make it very tender, roll it in egg and italian seasoned bread crumbs and fry it in hot oil.  Yummy.  Or, we put it in stew.  Or we grind it up and mix with hamburger.  Or, we make jerkey.  Or we can it (the boys call it JoJo's Mystery Meat and mix it with mayo and pickles and onions to make sandwich spread. 

So, there you have it.  Does that "splain it good enough?
