Monday has arrived

Well it is Monday and I am here!  Still not 100% but better than before.  Sounds like veryone had a great weekend.  I got caught up on a lot of Tivo'd shows and that was a good thing.  I even got caught up on survivor.  I love that show, but the people seem to get meaner ever season.  Today I have so many appointments and so much to do.  But they will all get done and then I will come home and pass out.  But I look forward to getting some of this stuff done and off my plate so I don't have to worry about it any more.  Well everyone have a great Monday and enjoy!  Do something nice for yourself too that is so important.  Me, I am going to Drive thru Starbucks.

Morning Rhonda and Cali,

So glad you are on the mend!  I have lots to do today, get a report to my director, get flu shots for me and Ms V (she won't be too happy) and general clean up at the house. 

Got me a few more new outfits while we were at the outlets in gilroy.  Since I start back on the road next week needed to make sure I had some warmer stuff to wear.  The plant we visit are always cold (never used to bother me before!) guess I was well insulated- ha ha ha.

Dolores, I love the outlets in Gilroy! Actually, I love going trough Gilroy, with the smell of garlic in the air! And I get my flu shot tomorrow.

I had an awsome weekend! Actually, I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The weather was perfect. I hung out with some old pals from high school on friday night! I doesn't seem like we graduated 23 years ago. Our alma mater had its homecoming game on Friday, so a bunch of us went to that. It was so eye-opening to see how young the students look nowadays! Boy, did we look that young at one time?
Saturday, was a family day. Spent time with family in the day time, and just caught up with more friends that evening.
Sunday morning brought the Children's Hospital of Orange County Walk at Disneyland/ California Adventures. It was so wonderful to see so many people supporting such a fantastic cause. Little Michele and I did the walk together, along with her daughter and grandbaby. We had a blast! They were blasting mustic through the park and had characters spread through the park. It was awsome! We both took tons of pics. We uploaded them to FaceBook, if you want to check them out.
Today, is Little Michele's surgery! She is so excited! She had to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. Her surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am. I am wishing her a uneventful surgery and a quick recovery.
Today, brings running around with DH. I have a appointment this morning to donate blood. I am a firm believer in donating, if you can. Tomorrow, brings a dr appt., that should be cool. Its with my pcp, its the first time I have seen her since before I had surgery! On Friday, I will be 2 1/2 months out! Whoo-hoo!

So glad you are feeling better Rhonda - just take care of  yourself so you are all better for November (what with the holidays and everything else that is planned)

I had an awesome weekend....spent the entire weekend in Palm Desert with My sister.   She had a conference to attend at the Desert Springs resort so I was on my own and did nothing but read and relax.  Actually rented myself a cabana for the day on Saturday and was by the pool all day...then a little partying in the evening but nothing wild or crazy....then all day yesterday I sat and read while sis was in her meetings.....Alshough I did twist my ankle sat evening and now an in major pain walking - thank god it was after the marathon cause noway could I do it now....

Anyway gonna make a post in a bit about the So Cal Coffee this weekend. 

This evening I believe is date nite and then tomorrow nite going to karaoke (for my birthday)....and yes...tomorrow is mybirthday and I am officially Leisure WOrld Legal.....LOLOL  that just means I will be 55 (and proud) and no longer had to say my sister lives with me.....roflmao....

Everyone have a great week...I need to go catch up on emails and mail and DVR shows from the weekend

Yes Karaoke at the El Do tomorrow....probably at about 7:30 or 8.....It would be a blast for lots of us to go.....I think Linda is going to go too...

Ok, Hot Lady get that ankle better!! What is El Do? I have never been there before. I would love to swing by. I don't sing very well, but after a couple of coctails, I sound pretty darn good! LOL

THe El Do is a little restaurant/bar in Long Beach - at the corner of Studebaker Rd and Spring Street.  The KJ is great there and so much fun (in my opinion)  Usually starts about 8....it would be great to see you there and I will be waiting to hear  your drama....and I am with you - everyone can sing after a couple of drinks......

Not much to report from the IE.  It's Monday.  Not Friday.  With that being said, all I can say is yuck.  Monday sucks.  Wow, aren't I Little Miss Sunshine this morning.  Oh well, another day of work.  Another day of pay.  Got to look at the bright side.

Going to get busy here now.  Hope you are feeling better Rhonda.  And if you are feeling better, don't overdo.  You'll wind up back in bad with a relapse.  Allow your body the time it needs to get rid of the yuckies.
