Is a 4oz portion of food OK at 4 months post?

I'm starting to get concerned i'm over eating now.  I'm 4 months post and I can eat about 4-6oz of food in one sitting.  Is this normal or is this too much?  When I burp, that's usually my cue to stop eating.  This occurs most of the time after eating 4-6oz of food.  In rare occasions I sometimes burp after 2-3oz.  I'm wondering if I should stop eating before I burp because burping might be a late sign of fullness.  Any comments would be helpful.

The burping is a sign you have eaten too much and should stop.  IMMEDIATELY.

I'm thinking you might find it helpful to slow your eating down a bit and analyze how full you feel as you are eating.

What is important to know here is what makes up the 4-6 oz.  If it is dense protein (chicken, beef, pork, etc) then slow down your eating and see what happens.  Remember it takes 20 minutes for the message that you are full to get to your brain.

However, if that 4 - 6 oz is something other then dense protein, then you may be setting yourself up for a problem.  Let us know what you are eating and that will enable folks to give you better advice.
