Eleanor Roosevelt

Good Wednesday Morning Cali Friends, what are you thankful for today?

Today I am thankful for...

1.  My father-in-law is now in a long term skilled nursing facility as of last evening.  My husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law and their cousin picked it out yesterday and feel confident that the decision was the best one.

2.  My supportive and loving husband and family who are always there for me.

3.  My faith and trust that God has a plan for everything and I just have to relax and let it happen.

OK your turn, what are you thankful for today?

You are amazing with you quotes, you seem to know exactly what I need to hear!

Today I am thankful for....

1.  My darling husband who worked so hard on my car yesterday and that I forgive him for making the tub gross with all the grease he got all over himself.

2.  My kids as inperfect as they each are that remind me each and everyday that it is o.k to just be who you are.

3.  My dear freinds that have my back and watch out for me when I am too pooped or out to lunch to do it for myself.

4.  For Gods healing powers that he is using on people that I care about.

5.  For OH because OH brought me some amazing people into my life.

6.  That Becky is getting a play day to enjoy with her daughter, Becky have a great time today.

Ok sorry I went long but God is Great! And I have so much to be thankful for.

Hi Barb,
So happy to hear they found a nice place for your FIL.  It will make life so much nicer for him and your MIL!

Today I am thankful for:

Talking with my sis and a long lost friend yesterday it was really nice (although I thought my ear would fall off after the second call!).

For being able to work from home most of the time.

For arranging our little get away for thanksgiving (we can't make it down to So Cal so we are going to Monterey).  I cooked for DH's family last year, I will only do it every other year it was supposed to be my family this year.

Eleanor Roosevelt had some great quotes. This is an awsome one, thank you Barb for picking this. I am happy to hear that your fil was released from the hospital yesterday and a skilled nursing home was picked. That is fantastic. I know it is a hard job, to have to find a place for your loved one, I am sending hugs to all of you. Things have a way of working out, as you said God has a plan and our job is to listen to the whispers of guidence and allow His will to be done.

Today I am thankful for

1. going to the doctor yesterday and having my doctor take me off ALL my medications! I am almost 3 months out, I had figured on closer to 6 months that would happen.

2. my husband, because he is always asking about me and telling me he loves me. I am trying to work on him to take care of his health and make goals for himself too.

3.  my family and friends, who have brightened my life with their glow of positiveness, who make me bust out laughing in the middle of silence, who know when I need a shoulder to lean on, who are just themselves and we accept each other as such.

and Barb, I am borrowing #4 from your #3, lol
4.   my faith and trust that God has a plan for everything and I just have to relax and let it happen.

Have a wonderful Wednesday folks!

Today I am Thankful For:

The surgeons at Stanford...my granddaughter is in the very best of hands with these wonderful skilled doctors.  She is in surgery as  I write this; please continue to pray for a successful and uneventful surgery to repair her heart.

My wonderful husband who tries so hard to be supportative even when it makes him uncomfortable (dealing with my emotions)

the outpouring of love, support and caring shown by special people on this board.  I am so grateful for all of you ^_^

Hope you all have a marvelous day....and Praise God for He is LOVE!

Great quote Barb and thank you for doing this everyday.

So glad your FIL is in a facility that everyone agreed on. I know, it is hard, but you want him to be safe and it is way too much for your MIL to give him the care he needs.

1. To our Heavenly Father who takes care of us all and does not give up on us.

2. I heard my grandbaby's heart beat today. I started crying and I thanked God for the precious little one.

3. To my husband and friends, who take me for who I am.

4. Most of all my health, so I may be able to see my Grandchild.

Karen, how exciting to hear the heart beat!  I was in the delivery room for Caylin and Caysie from the beginning to end of the delivery and it was soooooo awesome!  I cannot thank my daughter in law enough for allowing me that experience.  I think I am greedy because I wanted to be there for Crystina too.  However, I was on the phone with my daughter in law when she was pushing. I know, terrible huh, but I guess she felt good having my voice near her during her labor and delivery.
I wish you the best of health and happiness!
