No SEX  for a portugese Woman.  That is like saying we can't have wine!  OMG they are going to remove you!  You are not meeting the requirements of being a portigee.  Oh wait but you cook all the food so I think that excuses you!  Sorry!  I only qualify on the Sex and Wine thing!  lol

Good Morning,

I have no idea why I am awake, this is 3 mornings in a row that I have been awake before 6.  I keep telling my body I am retired, but it just won't listen.  Of course it's not like work, I used to get up at 5 when I did work, had to be in the chair and ready to work by 7, didn't see my bed again till 8 that night.  We worked 12 hours shifts, that wore me out.  I loved working the graveyard shift, but towards the end, I was getting too old for that, and it really wore on my body.  Now that I can sleep in, I don't!!  WTH!!!

Well here comes an announcement.  Doug officially has 8 weeks of work left.  He is retiring the first of the year.  His last day at work is Dec 18th, so we are going to have alot to be thankful for this Christmas!  I got to write Dougs retirement letter last night, DANG I couldn't say what I wanted, so I only addressed the letter to two people who are most important in the advancement of Doug's career.  He is scared about retiring, but not me, I can't wait to spend more time with my sweetie.  I just have to ease up some and not be so *****y.

Jean i****ting the MAC counter for me today, so Jean honey, enjoy it for me.  Soon, hopefully by my birthday, I can walk into a store and go with you to enjoy it.  We will see everyone tomorrow at the coffee, and oh yeah, I am going for the fattening stuff tomorrow, Starbucks has that pumpkin spice drink now....holy crap, you talk about yummy, but definately NOT weight loss friendly.  Dougie and I have a full day and nite planned and then on Sunday, more of the same.  Whew, I am tired thinking about it already.  I better double up on some vitamins!

Ok kids, today brings my nurse here early to change my dressing on my back incision.  Stacy, you need to go to the doctor about your back, do not wait, you really don't know pain in the back yet, you are still walking, trust me when I say this, it CAN and will get worse and nothing is worse on your back than carrying around extra weight.  Even with 50 lbs extra you just don't carry yourself correctly to rid yourself of pain.  Burning pain sounds like nerve problems, get it fixed now.  I cannot stress that enough.

Alrighty I am out of here.  Hugs and see most of you tomorrow, and real hugs on the way, (it's that Italian thing you know), and look out Little Michelle, we will be invading your home tomorrow.  We will get out own tea, you just relax Miss Princess.  Can't wait to see you.

YAHOOOOO

DOUGIE IS RETIRING!!!!

I was just trying to shout it out so everyone could hear it....I am so excited for the two of you.  You guys remind me of my dad and step mom....they are sooooo close and love being around each other everyday, every minute.  You guys are going to have so much fun...I just hope to have the same relationship with my dh when we retire.... You guys are such a great example of being married...

I am trying to get to the doctor.  If I can get my car fixed this weekend, I am going to get there on Monday.  I am working on getting rid of more of this weight too.  It is just hard to exercise right now.  I am walking but it is very slow going.  It takes me 15 minutes to do a walk that always takes me about 8 to do.  I am going to try and put some ice and heat on it tonight.  Don't know if that will help but I will try.  Tylenol isn't really cutting it right now.

Congrats on Dougie retiring.  I can't wait until I can one day.  Probably when I am 80 though...lol.  Unless I marry rich or hit the lottery but each of those carry the same odds right now.

My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return.-- Maya Angelou

Try some of those icy hot patches in the XL size, they are nice and big and fit well across the small of the back, plus they last just about 8 hours.  I found that they helped me really well.  It's hard to control the weight, and my back just got worse and not better, but I know that my recovery is easier for me than it would have been 170 lbs ago

Just a quick congratulations on the approaching retirement.  He's worked long and deserves the break.  No more nonsense for either of you.  It's time to start having fun together.  I'm so jealous.  Someday I'll get to retire.  Hopefully before I'm too old to enjoy it.  But with my luck I'll be working until I'm 80.  Unless of course I become totally senile before then, in which case Mikey can take care of me while he laughs his ass off at the crazy old cat lady.

Love to you and Doug,
Steph

Good Morning Crew!  HAPPY TGIF!!!  We have a very busy weekend planned for us.  Tonight brings us picking up Jayden at 9 pm.  A little later but he has a school function to attend.    Before we leave to pick him up, I am headed to Lowes to pick up my new floor!  I am going with hardwood.  The water line to the refrigerator has been turned off and he is re-routing it out to the ice maker in the garage until we get a new refrigerator.  Not going to chance having another water leak

Tomorrow brings us getting him a costume and carving pumpkins.  Sunday we are all up at 6 and leaving by 7 and headed out to Discovery Kingdom (formerly Marine World Africa USA).  We are meeting the kids at 10 at the Carls Jr right outside the park entrance.  There will be 16 of us all together in our group.  I will be riding an elephant with 2 little boys!  Jayden promised.

Well, I'd better get at it.  I also have to get to sewing some blankets for a certain lady's kids (she's got like a zillion of 'em) .  I'm making them early Christmas Presents and taking them down with me so.............. I'd better get on it!  Plus I have to get started on Christmas too.  I have 4 to make for that occasion too.

Remember to take your vitamins, drink your water and Dance like nobody's looking!

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.
