Well, all I've done is sleep for 24 hours, so I am wide awake. Its amazing what a little Percocet will do for pain and the need for sleep! No need for the pain pills anymore and apparently no need for sleep..lol
Today I start the renovations on a small bathroom in my house, with plans on moving up in jobs to bigger projects. I am hoping to use an OH Dear Ladies's contact for the bigger jobs.
Becky, I have been asking about your Dad's progress in PMs...No answer, so maybe you can tell me here. I am very concerned and keep you two in my thoughts and prayers daily. I know what it is to have a parent under my medical watch.
Other ladies and gents..I wish you a terrific week whatever your challenge is...Goodness knows we are all loaded!
Have a terrific Monday and let's let each other know we REALLY care...I do..this site is my "social circle", at least in print, I can't seem to get to the get-togethers.

Got to spend some time w/my folks yesterday... they are just taking it one day at a time... might get a date this week for his biopsy...But, for now, they enjoyed their NASCAR (although their Carl didn't win), and we had our yummy Starbucks together...

I wish you luck on your renovations, I would love to renovate my master bath. One of these days we will.
Had a great weekend at Apple Hill, we were able to meet up with our dear OH buddies and get away from it all. It was so very nice and relaxing. Lots of apples, crafts and crowds but we loved every minute of it.
Should be a busy week ahead at work and at home. We feel the need to move Ron's Dad out of where he is due to some very poor decisions made over the weekend by the nursing staff there, so this bring another hectic day. Please say prayers that the right place is found. Ron's sister will go home to Canada this afternoon so one of our strong support members is leaving but we all understand and cherish the time she was here.
Well I guess I better head to the shower. It's gonna be a long day.

So sorry to hear about Bert; hugs to Ron and Isla...and to you! Hopefully you will find another place that meets his needs...with intelligent staff who have the residents' best interest at heart.
Hope work is going well....starting a new job and dealing with new personalities is always a challenge...I'm here praying for you that all works out as it should ^_^
PS: we need to decide on a meeting date for November...soon! I have a class on November 21 but not sure I'm going for sure. Let me know what you might be thinking for luncheon time

Barb, sorry to hear of the changes for your FIL I hope he is OK. Saying a prayer for Naomi. Not much else going on this morning. Got DH and Ms V out the door a little late. Mondays are always tough for them.
After Apple Hill all Ms V could talk about was Halloween! Came home and tried her costume on. I was afraid it would not fit! It did here is a preview:
I am home for half a day then on the road again for the next two weeks. I hate starting a new job it messes with my exercise schedule. This place is open from 9-5 and I like to walk before I pick up Ms V. I guess I will have to go a 6 in the morning while it is dark! Got to move to lose!

Yesterday was fun filled blast for us! We were at Discovery Kingdom down in Vallejo. We took my car (aka the Beast) down full of 8 people! 3 kids, 5 adults. We met up my daughter and her bf, my son and his gf and son (omg Jacob is such a doll - I will gladly adopt him as a grandson!) and 9 of their friends. I had taken along a cupcake cake for my daughter who's birthday is tomorrow. We sang to her in the parking lot of the Carls Jr near the park where we met. It was LOUD, OBNOXIOUS and OFF KEY in true Naish Family Tradition. It was great!
We had a BBQ lunch, and a private Sea Lion show and totally had fun. We rode roller coasters and rides and it was a day full of total fun! As we were walking out we came by this cool ride called the SkyCoaster. They put you in this harness, hook you to a hook and haul your butt 100 feet up in the air and you pull a rip cord and you drop! They do 3 people at a time. So........ Joe, Jayden and I all went up. Let me tell you, that first drop is a dooooooozie, but you swing back and foth and it's totally cool. I had to rearrange my organs after that, but wow! I never thought I'd bungie jump (still wont) but this was cool enough to do again! What was so cool was Jayden went along with us. He also did a couple of roller coasters with dad. He called mom after we did the Sky Coaster and she was totally amazed he did this.
We didn't get home until 11:45 last night and I'm kinda a zombie this morning, but the day was totally worth it!

Oh Kim, renovations. I don't envy you. While the finished product is always wonderful, the time until then can try a saints patience for sure. Just stay focused on the end result and you should be ok.
Nothing much to report here. Went to the show on Friday night at the California Theater. It was a really good show. A kind of retrospective of the song and dance of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The young lady who played Ginger is an amazing talent. That girl was a star on that stage and it wasn't the part. It was truly her. She has a wonderful singing voice, can dance and act. She has star written all over her. Her bio said she just graduated college so she is young. I'm going to watch for her.
Saturday was class all day. Mike still wasn't feeling great and spent a good part of the time lying down in the car. Poor thing, I felt so bad. Then our plans got cancelled for Saturday night so we just came on home and relaxed. Did more of the same on Sunday.
So we were talking about Christmas and have sort of decided that instead of buying each other presents we might look into going away for a few days over New Years. Someplace wonderful and romantic. Now I just need suggestions on where to go. I really need to find someplace soon if we are going to do this. Anybody have any thoughts on places you've been to?????
OK, time to get busy. I have an appointment at 11:30 so have to leave here by about 11:00 or so to get there on time. Hope everyone has a great day and be sure to do something special for yourselves.
