MsBlues is Back

Hi all,

I have emerged from my many days of exile taking care of my mom at her house post surgery. I have missed being part of the OH family, but I am back and ready to fully participate again.

My mom was going amazingly well until she had her staples removed. A half an hour after we returned home from that appointment, the skin around one of her staples burst and we had to go to immediate care. The next day we were in San Jose again with her surgeon. This set back means she has to be hooked up to a machine called would vac 24/7 and a visiting nurse has to come by every 3 days. I honestly felt for a couple minutes that I was going to lose my sanity at immediate care. I feel so bad for my mom to have this set back.

I am back at work and immediately I need to work 3 12 hour days this week.

I am happy to report I lost weight during the time I was home with my mom. I'll weigh on WWW. I also managed to find an exercise station and did low impact aerobics while I was at my mom's.

Welcome home!!!  I am so sorry that you mom had the set back but I pray she is on the road to recovery.  Remember you need to take of yourself and as hard as it is, you have to think about yourself first so you can take care of your mom when she needs you.

I will say a special prayer for your mom, to be on the road to recovery...

I am sorry she had a set back too.  I know how you feel. I was in Las Vegas last week with my dad.  You know our parents just are not supposed to get old.  That is supposed to happen to other people's parents!  You hang in there.

So sorry about your mom.  I wish doctor would go back to placing in stitches, they are so much better, and it just seems that there are so many problems with stables.  I will keep your mom in my prayers.

But congrats on losing weight in a stressful period, way to go.!
