New Here!
I'm new to this site and am in the process of getting approved for my first surgery. I am looking at gastric bypass surgery. I have HMO insurance thru PacifiCare in Cal. My concerns are regarding hair loss, illnesses, pregnancy (if I still can after the surgery), and the aftermath. I really don't have the financial means to spend any additional money should I need lifts and tucks and the such. I'm a large individual at 295lbs and am 31 years old. I have battled with my weight my whole life trying different fad diets and other means that I wasn't very proud of.
I am now trying to take back my life as I am finding myself more unhappy about what I have let myself become physically. I know I am a beautiful person and would love to show the world that my beauty spreads from the inside out.
Can anyone offer any information regarding this surgery. And words of advise? I would appreciate anything, anyone has to offer. Thank you for the time to learn.
Mari
My advice to you is to talk to as many people as possible and continue reading many people's profiles. Also, participate in a support group.
My RNY knowledge did not happen over night. It took time to truly understand the dynamics of it and how it works with everyone because everyone is different.
Everyone has their ups and downs.....Check out my profile.
In a nut shell....I don't regret having RNY at all.
Best of luck to you and again, WELCOME!

You know what Becca - don't call outpeople for something youhave brought on. most of us that went to normal schools were taught how to write . No matter how you "talk" you can write in a nornmal vocabulary. Don't scare off the newbies - we are all a great group of people and until you have been around a while and get to know us - DO NOT THROW THOSE STONES TO THE NEW PEOPLE. Further nore - no one attacked you - Diane only asked you some point on questions because you are so vague about yourself. I mean come on - no real picture for your avatar and absolutely NO info on you at all on your profile.
So Mari - do not listen to everything. This is the greatest group of people I have ever met in my life. Feel free to read my profile (although it has not been updated in a long time) and if you have any questions just ask.
This is a great site no matter what some people think
