Good Halloween Morning Califonia!

 

It's early, so I'm going to take the liberty of doing the Good Morning post, I've never done one before! I hope I don't mess it up....here I go!

I'm not the first one awake, I'm the last one getting home!! Unless Gus and Anna are still out there causing trouble.

I went to a Halloween party in my neighborhood tonight and had  great 'ol time until the police  showed up. I felt like a dork leaving the party in a COP COSTUME! 

So it's Saturday morning OH!!! Happy Halloween!!! What do you all have planned for today/tonight? Be honest, do some of you get tempted by all the candy treats at this time of year? I know I do....I love the little snack-size chocolates because I can eat one without dumping...but THOSE CALORIES COUNT! So beware, they're scarier than vampires!

Are any of you worreid about taking the little ones out trick or treating because of the swine flu outbreak? I'm not a germaphobe but even I'm beginning to worry a bit.

Ok so I have planned today to wor****il 2:30pm then its off to home. At dinner time its In-N-Out for my family. Then dress him (my kiddo) up and out the door for some trick or treats.

As for the candy, I am doing rather well this year. Seeing how I am Pre-Op I think its going well. So far I have had 1 piece of Taffy and thats all.

Sorry to hear about the party being crashed by the police but hey I am sure they liked the costume.

Yes today is Halloween and my daughter already wanted to go out to trick or treat at 5AM this morning!  She refused to go back to sleep!  It is going to be a long day for her to wait for trick or treat!  Usually we go to the mall, but some are not doing trick or treat anymore, we will have to figure it out.

We are going some place today to celebrate my b-day DH has not told me only told em on my b-day we were doing something on Saturday.  I am sure I will get lots of walking in whatever it is.

Hope you all enjoy the ghouls, goblins, fairies and princess you see today!  I know I will.

You did an awesome job!  Sounds like you had a good time and that is what it is all about!   I love the colors and the little pumpkin you put in there.  I wish I could do that stuff.  I need a new avatar and my dear avatar freind just keeps forgettting to put one up for me.  I am old and senile and I can't do those things you know!  lol.  Today I don't know what I am doing other than playing Cafe world and sleeping.   I am sure we will eat some fun food and watch scary movies later.  My kids went to a harvest festival yesterday and had a wonderful time, so that is where that trick or treating came in.  Tonight I think we will stay home away from the boogie man.  Everyone have an awesome day and drive slow there are children out today and tonight.

Happy Halloween!!!  Hope everyone has a not too scary day!  Step away from the candy bowl!  LOL  I'm armed and dangerous with sunflower seeds and almonds!

Today brings shopping with my step mom and mother-in-law and home to make chili and cornbread for dinner and then handing out candy!

Good morning everyone!  I got up early enough to post today, yesterday I totally missed the boat!

Well it's going to be an uneventful Halloween.  No real plans other than to go down the hiil and go to Walmart, hang out at home with my hubby and give candy out to trick or treaters tonight.

Yesterday however was the bomb.  I had a day of beauty which started with getting my hair trimmed and then my stylist had these things called "bling strings" which you tie into your hair.  They are like thing strips of holographic tinsel that stay in for about 4 weeks.  I thought what the heck, I'm not going back to wor****il December 1st so I had her put in about 10 flaming red ones and 2 electric blue ones.  They are subtle but when light hits them they totally sparkle.  Then I went and got nails for the first time in about ten years and THEN I got my eyebrows shaped which is something I have never done.  I even got an eyebrown pencil and did that and they looked great - very exciting and I felt great.  Went to a tiny Halloween dance later and danced with some friends until I thought I would blow some of the staples out of my new pouch and came home - I had a blast!

I can't believe how much energy I have now.  My house is clean, my attitude is great and my husband is getting his dinner made for him every night.  Things are good so far!!!!

My dear niece, you did a wonderful post.  There is no right or wrong way, and after all these years, it's about time you did one!!!! So glad you had a good time last night, and them dang pigs for breaking up the party. 

Leslie, I am so glad that you had a wonderful day yesterday, and if you think you have energy now, just wait hon, the energizer bunny will have nothing on you!!!! 

Everyone else, I am so glad that everyone is doing well and please all be safe.

As for Dougie and I, we are going to still be done here in Temecula.  I finally made contact with our friends from San Diego and I think that they are going to come up today and we will take them to dinner tonight, it's our turn to pay.  I have known this guy since he was 7 and him and his family would come up to my parents house in Lake Arrowhead for 2 weeks.  We used to have a blast, skiing, swimming, and just having fun.  He is one of 6 kids.  They are a great family and lots of memories of my much younger years come to mind when we get together.  My parents had two houses within my lifetime right on the lake, the last one being over 6,000 sq ft, in a very exclusive part of Lake Arrowhead.  Dang we just had fun when I was younger,  Now I just make my own fun no matter what I do.  It is the way life is,  For all you younger people, you will get older much faster than you think, and life is about making it the best you can.  Take the drama out of your life, and replace it with fun.  Laughing and smiling is what life is about, then with God in your life, there is nothing that can't be done or accomplished. 

OK I am stopping with all that, I would type forever.  Anyway, HAPPY HALLOWEENIE all, have a wonderful great day and enjoy.  I think I am going to take Dougie to some wineries we haven't gone to, but we are not buying any wine.  We already have 21 bottles.  With what we have at home, we are ready for the Holidays, which start today.  Have a great day and evening all.

Good Morning Monica & Cali Friends -

Monica - Regardless of the cops showing up you must have had a blast to be getting home at 5:30 am.  I wonder if you were at the same party as my kid.  They came home about the same time as well.  Hmmmm

Well today I have actually already cleaned my house and it smells great.  Waiting on DH to return from WW so he can bathe the dog then off to the grocery store.

We will break out some Halloween decorations shortly so there is something cute outside for the kids.  We don't dress up or go out so we will stay home and play Yahtzee.  We get our first group of kids around 6pm and then when the festivities are over at Mayfair Park the kids come in by the bus load.  Funny thing is that most the kids we get do not even live in the Lakewood Area.  No problem though, the kids want to have fun and trick or treat so their parents bring them to good neighborhoods.  I know if my kids were still little I would not want them trick or treating in our neighborhood if it was not safe.

I have over 300 pcs. of candy because we get bunches and bunches of kids.  Sometimes we sit outside on the porch and wait for the kids and of course Sam (the dog) wants to follow all the kids and go treating with them as well.

If any of you are out parting or trick or treating tonight, be safe and remember DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE.

Went out to dinner last night w/a friend, and then surprised another friend at her work with some birthday treats... (she's a halloween baby).

I had one martini, which was way too syrupy, and they doctored it for me with club soda, and a bit more vodka to cut the flavored syrup in it. All that being done, I could still only enjoy a bit of it... but got my buzz on all the same! LOL...

Today is lunch with my pastor friend, and then GRADING PAPERS....oooooo....sppppooooky!!! There's nothing scarier than grading senior essays, LOL.

Awesome post Monica....glad to read you had a nice time lastnight!!!  I love Halloween...I love to see all the little ones all dressed up.  Today were going to my daughter's for dinner then were going to my grandson school...they are having a Trunk or Treat...It will be fun...
