What was I thinking?

Yesterday, I was running errands with my brother and we were in a clothing store. They had 3 racks of clothes that were summer wear (i.e. bikinis, shorts, tank tops, etc), they were all priced at 99 cents. I mean these were clothes that were regularly priced at $15-20. They were in great condition, just out of season. So I start going through them, and pulling off articles of clothing and putting them in my little mesh shopping bag. I start walking around the store some more and then it dawns on me like a light bulb going off in my head  What size did I just put in this bag? I pull out the clothes and look at them. I have 3x and 26, 24, 22. What the heck was I thinking?!! I have been wearing an 18 and close to a 16 ( I got off-track, otherwise I would have been there). No, No, No! This won't do!  So when I take the clothes out that won't fit, the only thing that is left is a pink top for my great-neice and a pair of 15/16 white shorts. I tell myself well the shorts can be an incentive to me. I take them home and try them on. WTH!!! THEY FIT!!!!  I know that clothes say one size and can run smaller or larger, but boy this made a very horrible week turn out awsome! Well that and the phone call I got this morning, saying my great neice is going to be alright!
I was so happy, I was dancing around my little place in these shorts. I had my little dogs all worried that the men in white jackets were going to take me away! Lol.

I love my RNY and the tool I have been given to help me, become the me I am inside. Lol! I hope that makes sense!

I just had to share my great news with my OH friends and family!

Hugs, love, & friendship,

Good Girl!  Keep up the great work.  Isn't it awsome to move down to a smaller size?  Kinda gives the will-power a big boost!

Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much, Mo! I am 3 months out, I keep asking myself what size will I end up, when I get down to goal. I just can't begin to fathom single digit clothing! I just have to concentrate on my weight and losing what I can, the correct way. Hmm, anybody have some 14's to give me incentive, now? Lol!

I know it feels so good.  I am so happy for your.  I am also happy that your great neice is going to be ok.  So this week has really turned out to be good at the end!

Great WOW moment Michelle...isn't it nice to be surprized?

My only caution...don't get too wrapped up in looking too far down the road...it's great to have long term goals...but keep focused on the short term ones more.  This journey can become quite daunting and  overwhelming if you concentrate on HOW MUCH one hopes to lose....reaching and surpassing short term goals gives one confidence, pride, self worth and hope.

Just my opinion but one I find works for me ^_^
Hugs and Congratulations!
