Good Morning Cali Crew!  I'm up at this awful hour because of the 4 hour nap I took yesterday!   Wow, my body needed it.

What is on everyone's agenda for today?  Joe, Jayden and I are working on my kitchen and hanging out together until we take him back to his mom at 6

He got a massive haul of candy out trick-or-treating and that too will all be headed back over the hill with him.  I do not need or want it here at all!

I'm going to go curl up and watch a movie until the house starts to wake up.

Take your vitamins, drink your water and remember to dance as if nobody's watching!  Enjoy life and have fun!

Hey Gal Pal!

SOunds like you have a great time last night.  Me I was going to watch scary movies and went to my bed to take a break and passed out.  I went shopping with this little short girl I know.  (I know a few)  Boy this girl can shop till she drops.  We had such fun.  I love Gal Pal time.  WE so need this as women and we just don't do it often enough.  IN the old days ladies would get together and quilt or do crafts or something.  So it is a tradition kind of.

Oh crap this now gives me an idea......

Why don't we get a little craft group together for us Southern Gals?  We can go from house to house and make crafts everyone takes a turn and then teaches us to make something.  Costs like $5.00-$20.00 bucks and we will have awesome X-mas deco's.

We can start at my house.  Let's do it?  WE could even do a sleep over.  Oh come one ladies let me know what you think.

Good Morning MoMo and Cali Friends,

Sounds like Redding rocked Halloween too!  We have lots of candy left over, not too sure where it's going to go but it isn't staying here.  I didn't eat one and not gonna start now!

Today brings a little shopping and taking my step mom home to San Francisco, the long way around since the bridge is still closed.  Oh well.

Not much else is new, but hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Hugs,
Barb

Today brings laundry and you know housework.

We had a great weekend.  We went to Roseville to help my son move.  We got to met his girlfriend.  We really like her.  My son seems really happy.  My husband said he thinks this is the one.  Then we got home in time for Trick or Treaters.  I know I have an entire bag of candy left.  My friend's husband owns an automotive repair shop and he puts candy out for the customers so I am going to give it to them.  My grandkids looked so cute. Ryan was James the tank engine from Thomas the tank engine.  Of course as soon as he came in he took his custom off.  Devan was a ballerina and she looked so adorable.

Well I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Good morning all and a very Happy Sunday.  We had a busy day yesterday.  Tax course during the day and then a quick run to the market to get something for dinner.  Got home and started my little bagging of all the halloween candy.  I find it if put it all in little sandwich type bags, when Mike hands it out, he hands out normal amounts.  One baggie per kid. He used to go through 20 bags of candy because he would just grab a handful and give it to each kid.  Now with little baggies, I only bought three bags.  For those of you who know Mike, he got dressed up in his pirate costume to hand out candy.  He stands outside with all his stuffed rats, slimy plastic snacks and funny looking skeletons and puts on an entire show for the trick or treaters.  I do believe he enjoys it more then them.  In any event, as was the case last year, there were fewer kids again.  Seems to get less and less every year.  We went through about 2 1/4 of the bags we bought.  The rest will go into work with me tomorrow.  We have a payroll service and put candy into the envelopes of payroll for our clients.  It's just an extra little touch of personalization we add to the service.

Today brings us a visit with some friends.  They are our teammates from bowling. And that is our day.

So I think it is time for me to go and make myself some coffee and think about getting in the shower at some point.  I'm just not feeling overly motivated today  I think I'd really like to go back to sleep for awhile.  Hmmmm, maybe I will do just that.  We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great day today and remember in all you do for everyone else make sure you do something special just for yorself.

Good morning everybody!

Yesterday was a pretty calm and uneventful day.  Went down the hill to Walmart did a little shopping then went to see a movie.  Came home and listened to my husband cuss out the new wireless router he was trying to install (hehehehe).  Not much after that.  Had about 4 pounds of candy to give out and only 8 tricker treaters.  The left overs are in a zip lock bag in my husbands treat drawer. I think I am going to ask him to take some of it to work with him so there isn't so much in the house.  Today I am going to do laundry, clean house and start working on a project to cover my white desk top with the cool red glitter vinyl that I bought at Joann's Fabric yesterday.  It's really thick vinyl like the kind you would use to upholster a car.  I think it is going to look fabulous - we shall see.

that desk project sounds cool, leslie... i live right down the street from a joann's and I just might have to try that out...

did they have different types of it?? and, is it adhesive, or do you have to attach it somehow? maybe it's heavy enough that it just lays down?? I might use something like that on my desk at work....sounds cool... pictures??

I'm enjoying the extra hour this morning...have a day of grading papers ahead of me, as well as mowing the back yard, if I can make the time...

Hope all the Cali pallies have a happy day..

It is really heavy.  The color is bright fire engine red with sparkles in it.  My plan is to glue it down to the desk top and then staple gun it underneath.  We shall see how it turns out.  I've never attempted anything like this before but I've been wanting to do this for awhile.  The other vinyl "fabrics" I saw at Joann's were very flimsy, so I really liked that this was so heavy duty.  The other color they had was black but black is not my color.  If it turns out I will post pics
