Happy November Sunday Morning

Good Morning Momo,

I am so glad to see everyone had a good Halloween.  As for us, no kids no candy, kids don't come to hotels.  I have to tell everyone, don't stay at the Hampton Inn in Temecula,  For two mornings, we have gotten a slip under our door saying that if we want our room cleaned we need to call the front desk by 1 pm.  That they respected our do not disturb sign,  Well it ****** me off.  WTH. We are on vacation, and if we want to sleep in late and not leave the room till 2, well, we don't get our room cleaned. Now this is trivial but last night when we came in at around 10 we said where are the cookies, which they handed out at the front desk.  I was told that they don't go it on the weekend because of the amount of people that come and stay,  I'm sorry, I just paid 80 bucks extra for 2 nites because it was the weekend, you would think that would buy enough cookies for a month.  I told Doug next time we just go to Vegas, rooms are cheaper and they expect you to sleep in.  We will also try a different place next time.

Anyway, we went to dinner with longtime friends from San Diego last night, we had so much fun,  Now today we are going home early, the race starts at 9, and I am not going to miss another race today.

Everyone have a good day and stay away from the candy

Good morning everyone,

Mo you make me cry, I wanted a nap so bad yesterday but I had a little boy bouncing around trying to trick or treat since 8 am. So no nap for mom.

My little one had a ball lastnight and I do believe I set a record. I didnt have a single piece of candy. Ironicly, I was also the only one with a tooth ache... Dont ask me how that works. Crafts, now thats interesting. I can make paper puppets thats all I can do.

As for Ms, Diane... Since I know the hotel biz I thought I would share an insight with ya.
The weekends are always more pricey why you ask? Because thats when people are off, and more people travel. I used to work at a Hampton Inn I was the night manager. We didnt do cookies on the weekends cause people take 50 thousand thinking they are all for them and not to share. Now durring the week most Hampton's support working travelers so they take two and a cup of coffee. As for not cleaning the room its fine, we ask you to stay in your room until you like but to call down by 1pm so we can set up the best time to send our maids to clean your room. Or drop off new towels out side your door if you dont want full service. LOL I know it sounds odd.
But now I work at a Disney Hotel and we have even odder things that go on here. Dont even ask LOL.

Best to you all.

God bless our troops

Oh Katrina!

Now that you said don't ask I gotta ask!  Tell me more please!  lol.  I love the ins and outs of HOtels.  In High School I worked at the Holiday INN in Long Beach and Oh the stories I could tell about Naked Australian Rugby players riding up and down the elevators.  My God I have not thought of that in years.  I was only 17 years old and did not know what to do with a naked Rugby player!  Now I am an old 51 and I know exactly what to do!  roflmao!  So tell tell make me laugh!  I love these kind of stories.  And by the way I don't think Diane really eats the cookies!

Good morning MoMo and Cali!! Haloween was good. Spent the day with friends and then last night I went to a local sports bar for Karaoke. That sucked. The KJ didn't know what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks he was doing. I was there for almost 2 hours and only 5 songs were performed, then he decided to play music, all while he was on Facebook on his laptop. I wish I had the money for a professional Karaoke set up. I could show him a thing or two.

Anyway, I am up watching America's Test Kitchen while having breakfast and getting ready for church. Nothing else on the agenda. May come home and watch the Transformer movies. I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning MoMo and Cali,

We had a wonderful day yesterday!  We went into the city via our usual route dumbarton to 101.  Rick was treating me for my b-day, we went to the aquarium that is now reopened in golden Gate park.  It was really nice and Ms V got her face painted by some gals from cirque do soli.  We had a snack at the snack bar and then headed to see my MIL in the mission district.  The off to fisherman's wharf for a late lunch early dinner.  Kids were trick or treating on pier 39 so Ms V got to do a little there even though she did not have a costume she had her face painted like a cat!  It was very eerie the wharf had loads of parking and you could actually walk (reminded me of after 911).

We got home and Rick and Ms V surprised me with my presents.  I got a 32 flat screen for the bedroom (I think it is really for Rick, but that is OK).  We changed Ms V into snow white and hit the streets.  She lasted about 3 blocks and said she had seen enough neighbors!  We laughed and headed home.

Today will be Church and some laundry since we were gone all day yesterday.  Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Alright only cause you all asked.

DId you know while staying at a Disneyland hotel over the holidays we will add small little details to your room? Here at my hotel we place rubber duckies dressed for the holiday in your room.

You can call down to speak with a character or rather listen to a message. WE have messages for different occations. Mickey and Minnie for anniversary, or wedding. Goofy for birthday or just plain welcome.

I think the best thing though, is just how many people are up and about at every hour of the day here. And how much random information a cast member has to know about the parks all around the world.

That being said, I love my job.... got a question let me know I can get any answer you might want.

EDIT: All of the Disneyland hotels are haunted.

God bless our troops

cool stuff to know!

do any of the anaheim disney hotels allow me to bring my dogs? I'd love to plan a little getaway, but can't leave the old gals alone...

i've heard that on Main Street, they pump the scent of vanilla out onto the street to give a homier feel and to make us get hungrier and want to eat... true or false??

Hi MoMo and Cali Crew,

It sounds like we all had a good Halloween. I took a ton of photos of the the freak show that happens in downtown Santa Cruz for Halloween. People dress in the most creative costumes I've even seen and walk up and down the main drag for hours. I saw a couple Michael Jacksons, Jack in the Box heads, the current president and his secret service, all the main characters from the Wizard of Oz dancing to Thriller, and one group set up a camping scene at certain intersections and would break down and set up camp throughout the night. They also roasted marshmellows. It was awesome! I went as an old fashoined reporter because I wanted to incorporate my camera into a costume.

I was so happy that I didn't miss my usual candy binge/sugar high for Halloween. It was my first Halloween post surgery. We do have left over candy for kids, but I want my husband to sta**** away and take it to work tomorrow. Out of sight and out of mind.

Take care all, Have a great Sunday. I have nothing scheduled except a massage later this evening.
