Goooooood Moooooorning California! It's Monday
I had a very busy weekend again! Drove to Vegas to visit my dad on Thursday night. Friday, Jim and I went to the cemetary, took my dad to eat and then shopping at Sam's Club. I don't understand why my dad does not buy food. However, I don't have to worry about that for a while because he is now stocked. On Saturday, Jim and I stopped in Victorville to visit my son, his wife and my three granddaughters. Crystina will be two weeks old tomorrow and she look soooo tiny. Saturday afternoon, Chris, Cheri and the girls decided to follows us to Garden Grove so that the girls could go trick or treating in our neighborhood. Caylin and Caysie dressed as a ballerina. And today I am back at work. Yep, it is Monday and I plan to get a lot of work done today. Therefore, I will not be on OH much.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and safe week.
Hugs
Terry

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!
We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they
ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Thank you Lori for bringing up my poor little Vicki, Doug got home from the vets at 11 last night, and she is doing fine. The took blood last night from her, and they couldn't come up with anything. Her red count was up some, but she was sick yesterday some, and just got worst by nite....typical just like humans we get sicker as it gets darker. She is alot more normal today,
As for me this past weekend and the end of last week was great fun and we got to get away. It was great! I can't wait for his retirement, then we can go and do what we want. It's just going to be strange getting paid once a month, but we will adjust. Plus his social security comes in the middle of the month, so we will be fine. Typical man, worried to death we aren't going to make it, and I keep telling him we will. You always seem to live within your means whether you make alot of money or a little.
This week I start out patient therapy. The hole in my back is almost closed up FINALLY! Almost 3 months after surgery and I figured by now I would be dancing around the house, crap, I am lucky I can walk around the house without a walker, But it will be a quick recovery. Naomi, take care of yourself, that knee is new, but therapy will help so much.
Mo, where are more pictures of the kitchen completed??? And Elizabeth, great before and after pics for being only a few months!!! You are looking younger and terrific.
Ok, Rhonda, great positive words this morning. Love you lady and to all Have a great day.
Diane
Hellloooooooooooo California!
Ok..just one week ago, I was getting ready to do what is going to happen today...I HOPE. My front bathroom is going to be gutted and totally revamped from tip to toe. My construction guy said we are his ONLY job until its finished...here's hoping. I did not want to do business with a "Friend", (my neighbor's cousin)...but my husband liked his price and I like the neighbors..lol I always fear something will come of that old adage, "NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FRIENDS OR FAMILY". We've been hurt by family, I don't want a friendship of 25 yrs lost. Sending up prayers and good Ju-Ju. This job is supposed to be done in about 10 days....wow, committing a family of mostly women down to one bathroom...heaven help my husband..lol I have partitioned off an entrance to the master bathroom (very small room) with a set of curtains that make my bedroom look like its a bordello...lol...hey, ..the red velvet curtains were on sale, and the little hanging crimson crystals are pretty..lol
Ok..off to emptying out the front bathroom again....I'll post pictures of my project too! Love getting the decorating ideas from everybody's re-dos...
Happy day!

Today I am off to therapy and then I will be having lunch with friends from work. I am totally excited to see them and equally excited that when lunch is over I will be going shopping (I think) instead of back to work!
I went to bed last night and one of my incisions is not looking good. It's red and weepy. It looked worse this morning, so I cleaned it, put some nueosporin on it and covered it with a huge band-aid. I see my doctor tomorrow for my two week check up put I am scared. I have called the doctor and am waiting for a call back. The wound is not hot, I don't have a fever and am not feeling sick so I am hoping it's not a big deal. We shall see. I will not sit at home worrying about it. I am going to go out and do my day unless the doctor states otherwise.
Hope you all have a FABULOUS day!

Here's to never forgetting where I came from so I never have to return...
Congrats on your anniversary Rhonda.
It's Monday and I want to be home in bed. I don't want to be at work today. I don't feel good today. My back is still hurting and it's not getting any better. I am trying to get the county to reinstate my Medi-Cal but it takes the county forever to do anything. I am waiting for my worker to call me back but I think I have to get a little aggresive with this man. I don't know how much longer I can take this pain. I am taking Tylenol every 4 hours but it has not helped at all. I only have about 2 1/2 hours left until I am done at work. I am just going to try with all my might to make it and then go home and go to bed.
Happy Anniversary Rhonda!
Diane.. Im so glad Vicki is doing better!
Naomi... so glad you are hangin in there 1 week after surgery! Thinking about you girl!

I have physical therapy for my shoulder today... goind 3x per week now and its not getting much better but Im doing what Im supposed to.
Im getting anxious without a job these days.. Im out looking but nothing much out there in my field atm. Maybe I'll just have to change and take a big pay cut who knows. Guess what is meant to be will be.
Went to Disneyland on Halloween and had to laugh cuz I ate the "toddlers meal" ha ha $3.99 was a good deal and just enough. Still barfing a lot so I was really nervous but I didn't get sick yay!
Have a good day all!
Hugs,
Jackie
Happy Anniversary Gerry and Rhonda. I hope you have a great day. Diane I must have missed the post about your Vickie being under the weather. Do you think she could have just been pouting because you were gone. Sometime Teaka will not even eat when I go away and it takes her a few days to get back to normal.
Staci I hope you feel better soon, and Naomi too! If I missed anyone I am sorry, and I am sure I did.
I hope everyone has a great day. Remember without Monday Friday would never come! (I just made that up).
Rhonda- hope you feel better soon. You have a great attitude. Oh yes, Happy Anniversery to you and Gerry!
Cali- I had the best weekend! My Snow White costume arrived at work on Friday afternoon. Great. Friday at work, I dressed up as a green fairy and I passed out candy and chips to the kids. That was so much fun. For those who went to the OH Convention last year, you remember what I looked like. Before I left work, I sold my costume to a co-worker. It was nice, but I was tired of dealing with the big wings.
Saturday morning, I met up with Kevin to volunteer at a water post for APLA.
Saturday, ran around and ended up at my cousin's house. We watched as they scared the little children. The scary music was playing while hooked up to a speaker. Cobwebs and spiders where everywhere. My cousin's were just as evil looking as they wanted to be... hollering, screaming, slamming doors...it was a fright. Afterwards, 2 of my cousins went to their house to drop off a dog they had been watching. Tiffany (cousin) said that since my car was smaller that we should take my car to West Hollywood. Once we got there, I drove around for about an hour and we ended up at Whole Foods at Fairfax and Santa Monica Blvd. The walk to LaCienega was long and tiring (I was wearing heels with my Snow White costume), and the walk back to the car was worse ( I felt like Dead Man Walking). At the end of the day, I was "the ride". When your feet hurt, your soul hurts. Nevertheless, I had fun and everyone loved my costume. By the time I got back to my other cousin's house. It was 2 am and she was not happy to be getting up out of a dead sleep to let me in the house at that time of the morning. She also fussed at me for going to get gas at 1 something in the morning by myself.
Sunday, after I left my cousin's house, I returned home, showered and changed and went to visit a childhood friend I have not seen in a few years. While I was there, I met her boyfriend. We had a great time. Then I went back to my cousin's house again for dinner. One of my cousin's said, "Kim, are you here again?" I said, "Yes, I am seriously considering putting in a change of address."
So that was my weekend.
Kim
Glad to see the dust has settled over OH once again...it was getting messy around here...thank goodness I went out of town and off the computer ^_^
Had a good weekend, even if I had to put up with my 'contractor' husband...the side of Lon I am least fond of LOL We took the new m/h out for a trial run and to find out what didn't work...boy, did the list grow pretty darn quick :-( Most were minor items to be fixed, loose door, couple of light fixtures didn't work, the 12v outlet didn't connect to anything, etc...but the biggest problem was a leak under the toilet seat, which we didn't know about until we hooked up the water hose to the outside intake valve :-( It flooded the floor under the bathroom rug and we didn't find it until I went in to brush my teeth before bed. Needless to say, it was an interesting camping trip withou****er; we were parked only 1 row over from the bathrooms in our section so it was more inconvience than anything. We played some pool, checked out the miniture golf course, ate Saturday morning breakfast at the outside patio overlooking the lake and sat outside in the gorgeous sun carving for a couple of hours. The dogs and I walked the mile and quarter around the lake on Friday nite, twice on Saturday and then 1 more time Sunday morning before we headed for home.
An update on Brianna: she is doing FANTASTIC!! The doctors are very happy with her progress: today they hope to take the last IV tube out and remove the stomach feeding tube. That will leave her with only an oxygen nose tube, the kind that wraps around the head. Melanie and Patrick are besides themselves wating for the doctor to call and let them know they can finally HOLD her again! If all goes well, meaning she starts drinking from the bottle and swallowing without incident, she will be moved out of NICU upstairs to the regular nursery where she will remain for about another 2 weeks. I will say she is definitely a fighter! Patrick sent me a picture of her wearing mittens...she wouldn't leave the breathing tube in her mouth alone so the nurses covered her hands with the cutest blue mittens..but the picture showes her 'patting' her mouth...she definitely has an opinion about all she is going thru ;-)
Well, that's it for me...my work day is almost over..then support group tonight and afterwards home to watch Dancin' with the Stars with Lon.
Happy Anniversay to you, Rhonda and Gerry! Naomi, so happy to hear you are home and beginning PT...hurt now, but walk and feel so much better later! Elizabeth and Deb B and Katt...love the new avatars!! Lit'l Michele and Delores...I think I already said Yea! on your new avatars, but just in case I didn't say what I thought I said...I Love them Too!! Diane, so happy to hear you are starting PT..that the 'hole' has closed up enough so you can start...and it sounds like you and Doug has a grand time wine tasting. You just gotta come up our Napa way...MoMo, Barb, ME and all the No Cali gang will be right there to greet you!
Enjoy your Monday evening, gang...Friday is only 4 days away ;-)

So glad to hear about Brianna. I am so thankful she is doing so well. She has been in my prayers and thoughts constantly. Thanks for posting. Hugs, Diane
